ON WARS case in point SYRIA

ON WARS case in point SYRIA

MAD Mutual Assured Destruction stop WW3.. but

We have to accept first that Obama’ Regime Change is a failure.

My thesis: Hugo Adan. Dic 10-16
...
The aim of Keeping  same profits for big corp that produce arms & wars have 2 limits:  1- forget MAD deterrence.  2- advance RU-xenofobia  to the borders of WW3 .

1- MAD is a deterrence if & only if, both blocks (US-NATO vs RU allies) have the same capacity to destroy each other & impose the same level of threats on each other (if one impose a nuke-missiles-circle to the other, the other has to do the same. Otherwise one can start the first strike with not chances of immediate response). I guess RU-China has set the same threat to US-NATO (the artic may be set for response immediate response and I guess nuke-submarines are pointing to US-UK-Israel-Saudis and other key NATO war dangers). So, MAD deterrence is still valid. However,

2- If the US is sending troops besides weapon to any place –Syria in this case- to alter the balance of power set by MAD deterrence between 2 blocks, it is assume that RU + allies  will do the same (send troops & arms to the place). If one side use them (troops & arms) against the other, the response should be double (law of war since Carl von Clausewitz). The troops send by the US has in mind to target RU and since the US context is loaded with RU-xenofobia  (Case in point: RU has been accused by OB of interfering election in favor of Trump) so it is expected that by “accident” one xenophobic soldier start the war against RU. Since the order by RU to their  soldiers is to respond any fire with double fire –wars are win in the battle camp, so is your duty to respond-  before diplomacy starts to settle down the accident. Meaning: by “accident”  we Americans can ignite WW3 . How to avoid this happens ? In my view: big Corp profiteering for weapons productions and war abroad, should be the target of research, indictment & policy actions.

Here the “American view”  on Syria’s war
Qt: Whose American? .. besides the loser Obama

With Assad on the verge of retaking Aleppo, and with it, regaining full control in the ongoing Syrian proxy war, we asked last week how long before the US intervenes in an attempt to derail the sudden Syrian (and Russian) momentum.  We got the answer this morning, when US Defense Secretary Ash Carter said on Saturday that the US is sending 200 additional military personnel to Syria to help drive Islamic State from its de facto capital of Raqqa.  http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-12-10/us-sends-200-more-troops-syria-days-after-obama-lifts-ban-arms-supplies-rebels
Speaking in Bahrain at the Manama Dialogue conference on Middle East security, Carter said the 200, including special forces trainers, advisers, and explosive ordnance disposal teams, would join 300 US special forces already in Syria. “These uniquely skilled operators will join the 300 US special operations forces already in Syria, to continue organizing, training, equipping, and otherwise enabling capable, motivated, local forces to take the fight to ISIL,” Carter said quoted by AP.

Three years ago Obama vowed: that he would not put American boots on the ground in Syria.
President Obama: "I will not put American boots on the ground in #Syria. I will not pursue an open-ended action like Iraq or Afghanistan."

Carter added that “by combining our capabilities with those of our local partners, we've been squeezing ISIL by applying simultaneous pressure from all sides and across domains, through a series of deliberate actions to continue to build momentum."?? [[  Instead of squeezing read fiddling ]]

A hint of US plans to intervene came earlier in the week, when on Thursday, President Obama unexpectedly granted a waiver for restrictions on the delivery of military aid to “foreign forces, irregular forces, groups, or individuals,” if those forces are supporting the US’ alleged counter-terrorism efforts in Syria.

The decision was promptly slammed by Syria on Saturday, whose Foreign Ministry said on Saturday that "the lifting of the ban on arms supplies to Syria by US President Barack Obama is another evidence of Washington's continuing support for terrorism, the Syrian Foreign Ministry said Saturday."

"The United States has provided a new evidence of its notorious role in support for terrorism in Syria by taking the decision to lift the ban on supplying arms to terrorist groups," the ministry added.

However. according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the decision to ease restrictions on military aid for foreign forces and other fighters supporting the US in Syria is unlikely to affect the situation in eastern Aleppo.  Moscow is looking for a solution that involves as few casualties as possible, Lavrov stressed, speaking at an OSCE Ministerial Council in Hamburg.

I think everyone understands that the militants in east Aleppo are agonizing. We don’t want to support those who would gladly finish off those militants at any cost without any talks. We are ready to solve these problems in a way that would spare us additional casualties and destruction,” he noted.

That said, in light of the recent significant gains by the Syria regime and Russian forces in Syria while the US State Department was rocked by a post-election power and decision vacuum, it would take a full blown US ground offensive against Assad to prevent what now an almost certain defeat of the "Syrian rebels" in the coming weeks and months, thereby eliminating the biggest source of geopolitical instability in the middle east as life in Syria slowly returns to normal.

[[ MY FINAL COMMENT:
So,  the  US won’t  accept the defeat of “regime change” set by Obama who want American soldiers to die for a wrong cause, the cause of one 6 big corporations that profit from manufacturing weapons and promoting war abroad.

This war game doesn’t make sense at all.
We need that money to rebuild America

Dear Trump, make a deal with Putin

to dismantle war-nuke power worldwide once and for all

That will be the greatest gift for Christmas and New Year
to the whole humanity. It is that we all need: Peace not wars!  ]]
