The trader incurred significant
losses when a "premature"
settlement of a derivatives position had to be closed out in late
summer.
Mitsubishi Corp. and
Petro-Diamond said the trader had been taking unauthorized derivatives
positions since January, and suffered massive losses over the summer as oil
prices plunged.

relatively senior position, and was in charge of all transactions involving
China for the subsidiary.
Mitsubishi Corp. said
Petro-Diamond launched an investigation into Xingchen's trading logs while he
was on vacation and sick leave in August. They found unauthorized positions,
and decided to unwind them in August. The losses are expected to be about 6% of
Mitsubishi's projected profit for the fiscal year.

Both companies allege Xingchen
had manipulated its risk-management system, and was able to make it look like
the derivative trades were associated with customer orders.
Chen told Bloomberg his client
followed internal reporting procedures and policy at all times. "Internal
controls were in place" throughout the period in question, he said.

En otro
texto Marx indicaba:
“El verdadero limite a la producción capitalista es el mismo
capital. El capital y su autoexpansion son
el principio y el fin, el motivo y el
objetivo de la producción; esta se ve como producción para el capital en vez de considerar los medios de producción como medios
para mejorar y perfeccionar las condiciones de vida en beneficio de la
sociedad, de los productores.
Las
limitaciones del modo de producción capitalista resultan evidentes:
1-Por
el hecho de que, con la tendencia decreciente de la quota de ganancia, el
desarrollo de la productividad del trabajo crea una ley (booms & burst) que
solo puede contrarrestarse con más crisis periódicas.
2-Por
el hecho de que la expansión o la contracción de la producción se deciden por
la aprociacion del trabajo retribuido y por la proporción del trabajo no
retribuido y por el trabajo materializado en general. Para decirlo en el
lenaguaje de los capitalistas, por la cuota de ganancia y no por la relación de
la producción con las necesidades sociales, con las necesidades de seres
humanos socialmente existentes. Es asi como el modo de producción capitalista
llega a su límite y requiere ser reemplazado. El límite es un punto determinado
por la producción y la realización de beneficios, NO por la satisfacción de
necesidades humanas. (El Capital, III)
La premisa y conclusión de Marx sobre asalariado= socialismo y capital=
capitalismo es absolutamente clara:
“El
capital presupone el trabajo asalariado; el trabajo asalariado presupone el
capital. Ambos de condicionan mutuamente, cada uno de ellos da origen al otro”
(TAC: Trabajo Asalariado y Capital, 1848. Repetido en El Capital )
“El
proletariado y la riqueza constituyen una antinomia. En este sentido forman un
todo único. El problema consiste en descubrir el lugar que cada uno de ellos
ocupa en la antinomia. No basta con decir que son las dos caras de un todo
único.
“La
propiedad privada , como propiedad privada, como riqueza, está obligada a conservarse
a si misma y por tanto a conservar a su contrario, el labor. Alquien diría
(Hegel) que ese es el lado positivo de la antinomia: la propiedad privada
satisfecha.
En
cambio, el labor se vio obligado, como proletariado, a laborar por su propia
abolición y, por consiguiente, a laborar por la abolición de las
condiciones que lo convierten en
proletariado, es decir, por la abolición de la propiedad privada. Se diría, es
el lado negativo de la antinomia, la propiedad privada en estado de agitación,
disgregada y en proceso de disgregación. Es, para utilizar la expresión de
Hegel: ‘en medio de la
degradación, es la revuelta contra la degradación”; una
revuelta a la que le obliga la contradicción entre su humanidad y su situación real,
una negación franca, clara y absoluta de su humanidad. [Este es el sentido de su lucha por el
socialismo, según Marx]
Si
el labor triunfa, no quiere ello decir que se convierta en otra forma absolutista
de sociedad, porque solo triunfa aboliéndose el mismo como proletariado y
aboliendo a su contrario. El proletariado desaparece junto con el contrario que
lo condiciono: la propiedad privada.
Si
los autores socialistas atribuyen esta misión histórico-universal al labor no
es porque vean a los proletarios como dioses. Al contrario, al
revelarse contra la inhumanidad no solo se emancipo a sí mismo , destruyo las
condiciones inhumanas de existencia de toda la sociedad, incluyendo sus dioses.

Look at the headlines and you’ll see what I’m talking about. All of these
things happened since I woke up at 7:30am Monday morning in Florida:
- The British Supreme Court just arrogated unprecedented power to itself by inserting itself into any dispute between the Government and Parliament. This upends more than 300 years of constitutional process.
- The Democrats have announced they will pursue impeachment charges against President Trump because an unverified, hearsay whistleblower made a complaint about a phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski. Impeachment odds soared overnight as someone was tipped off about the Democrats’ plan.
- Bitcoin’s hashrate mysteriously flash-crashed more than 40% presaging a massive $1500 drop in price.
- Donald Trump delivered a blistering critique of socialism at the United Nations General Assembly. Too bad he’s nearly as bad as the ones he’s fighting on the far left.
- Europe’s Trio of Faded Glory — The UK, France and Germany — joined in the chorus of unverified condemnation of Iran in the attack on the Saudi oil field on the 14th.
- The Federal Reserve continues to bail out banks to the tune of $65 to $75 billion per day through overnight repo operations that no one can give us an explanation as to why they’re needed.
This feels to me like a multi-level coup against those that dare stand
athwart the global power structure. Both British and
American leadership institutions are under sincere attack with these moves.
It is over this that Trump is
to be impeached?
Daring to reveal the truth about an issue of real
corruption in a country deeply implicated in the fake collusion story
originally intended to remove him from the Oval Office? This somehow hits the
standard of High Crimes and Misdemeanors?
It does when we live in a world ruled by men, not laws.
So
guess what? The Democrats would not be pushing for this if they ddin’t think
they have the votes in the House and
the Senate to get this done. Ignore the conventional wisdom on
this. They were wrong in the UK.
They will be wrong here, unless Trump has something else up his sleeve.
It’s a coup folks.
This has the feel of
those months leading up to Bear Stearns’ dissolution which culminated in Lehman
Bros. in 2008, which broke the engine of the world.
The dystopia is real.
