ON LEV: THE CHILDEST STORY TALE
OF LESSER EVIL VOTE
Read this & My comments at the end
On LEV or “less than
evil voting.” David McDonald has written, “Lesser
Evil Politics: Really, Noam? Hubert Humphrey?” In the piece he writes, “Back in ’68,
Chomsky says, ‘the ultra-left faction of the peace movement’ caused the
election of Richard Nixon by ‘minimizing the comparative danger’ of a Nixon
presidency, thereby making the huge strategic mistake of foisting Nixon on the
world, prolonging the Vietnam War by ‘six years’ and causing senseless deaths
and untold suffering because we voted our hearts, not our minds.”
When I asked Chomsky about this article Chomsky asserted,
the “ultraleft”
itself was too small to swing the vote, but they were referring to the far
greater group who accepted McDonald’s position, who very likely did swing the
vote.
Andrew Smolski also,
on Chomsky’s voting position, in his, “To
My Less-Evilism Haters: A Rejoinder to Halle and Chomsky,” states that,
“Worse yet,
Halle and Chomsky are decidedly wrong in their assessment, hiding behind their
religious belief that the utilitarian logic they employ is obvious and a priori
correct. They willfully ignore that the logic of lesser evil voting (LEV) is a
causal mechanism pushing the political structure to the right. They
cannot fathom that their strategy is part of the rightward drift, even while
they admit that that rightward trend exists, which is why, in Chomsky’s words,
Democrats are now “Moderate Republicans”.

MY COMMENTS
THE FACT IS that :
1-Hillary is not a moderate republican.. this war monger is
worse than “neocons” of the republican party .. she can use them as used Victoria
Nulan for the purpose of serving the big corp behind
the military industrial complex .. such big corporations and the Saudis gave
her huge amount of money to put forward the old imperial PNAC designed before
the end of the last century.
2-Any NATO war can be used by Hillary to suck money for
personal gains (Case in point Libya) and at the same time serving the big Corp
that profit from wars. Both aims go hand on hand in her real political
practice. NATO already have plans to attack Russia, China & Iran, and Hillary will support it as she did it with Irak
3-The US business of wars and Hillary's for profit affairs in handling them as State Secretary explain the failure of the FBI & the Supreme
Court to indict her (mail breaches to Law). Their double standards to use the
LAW explain the current situation on the mail-gate: fiasco &
impunity . It is revealed so far that those authorities
has not power to go over big Corp.
4- The power resides in the bottom, in people’ organized efforts for rebellion.
Elections is the time to forge and unite
this power to create a peaceful transition to Pol & Econ change. That is
why we supported Sanders, he betrayed to our Nation and the Nation will
trash him in their history records.
5- The LEV is a childish excuse to cover up Sanders’
betrayal. If he really intend to run as VP with Hillary .. he won’t
have power to put forward his previous agenda.. He will be one more servant of the billionaire’s
regime. That will confirm their hidden
rightist approach..
6- In the event of Sanders’ running as VP -knowing Hillary dishonesty .. I doubt of it-
if happens Hillary will use Sanders’ appeal on voters to get the majority of Senate
and depower the GOP .. just to implement their similar agenda. In such a case,
the appeal of Jill to continue fighting for the demands promised by Sanders ..
will be also depowered. And depowered
also the MOv Black Lives Mattter (BLM) and Afro-American will be more
brutalized than today. This scenery is forcing the BLM and all the socialist of
the Nation to immediately create the American Socialist Party to coordinate workers
resistance to the rule of billionaires. The vote for Jill Stein remains in
place as practical answer to LEV -lesser evil vote- & as evidence of strong commitment to democracy in
America & the need for a 3rd choice .. it is time for
a 3rd party. We should admit that Sanders betrayal as VP .. will
force many people to vote ABSTENTION.
Recent exploration of this trend said 1/2 will abstain, ¼ to Hillary & ¼ to 3rd
parties.
7- It is up to Dr Jill Stein
to call for ORGANIZED RESISTANCE to billionaires rule with grass roots
org across the Nation in alliance with all socialists & BLM org. This will
be a call for a UNITED SINGLE PARTY of democratic socialists and rebels of
America to coordinate actions during & after election. The purpose is to response
to the attacks of the new Govt to the Nation’s
rights & demands , now & beyond elections. During election the
focus will be on swing states with special efforts in Minnesota, Ohio,
Michigan, Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona, Nevada and the few other states up for grabs. If we launch a single candidate
at local level, we should request 1st : day-registration to vote
(not the affiliation to duopoly parties) and equal access to media debates. We
should all support one single leftist or
socialist candidate. If Dr Jill Stain can
run to the Presidency & State Senate at the same time, we should all
support her. But if we do not get such unity at local & State level, we
should ABANDON the electoral race in that State. We should focus instead
in creating a team to organize referendums post-elections. There is not point
in adorning and legitimizing a rigged electoral system, already set for fraud
in Nov 4. The main purpose should be to de-legitimate the regime emerging from
this farce of democracy every time they attack the working classes and any sector of the oppressed people.
