Moments ago the BEA released its third estimate of GDP, according to which Q1 GDP rose by 1.4% in the quarter, above the second estimate of 1.2%, and double the initial estimate of 0.7%. And while economy grew more than expected, a red flag emerged in corporate profits, which decreased 2.3% in the first quarter of 2017 after increasing 0.5% in Q4.

Here is why Janet Yellen is wrong in believing another “Financial Crisis” can’t occur.

Catalyst 1: Delinquency & Defaults
We are already seeing the early warning signs with delinquency rates rising and commercial lending on the decline in both consumer and commercial and industrial loans.

Of course, this also includes the credit problems of the collapse in Commercial Real Estate which is grossly leveraged at a time when prices have begun to stagnate with an oversupply of inventory sitting on the ground.

Given the low starting point of the VIX, these strategies are at risk of catastrophic losses... One scenario would be of e.g. VIX increasing from ~10 to ~15, followed by a collapse in liquidity given the market’s knowledge that certain structures need to cover short positions.

"If you really want to pour cold water on all this optimism, consider the dangerousness of the thought that because of all the great things that have been done, it’s unlikely there will be another global financial crisis in our lifetime. SPUTNIK and RT SHOWS
The nasty business of US-NATO-Global-wars uncovered .. pro RU view

FINALLY both realize that Elephants fight will kill the grass root and the elephants too.

PUTIN, TRUMP WILL MEET AT G-20 SUMMIT on JULY 7-8
US President Donald Trump will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin for the first time on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Hamburg, Germany in July, National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster told reporters on Thursday.

It would be an incredible thing to be a fly on the wall during the meeting. Mainstream media outlets have blasted Trump for "colluding" with Russia during the 2016 election campaign. A producer at CNN, one of the biggest media outlets to continuously press Trump-Putin links, recently confessed the narrative was probably "bullsh*t."
….

MY OPINION:
Both US-RU must set GREATEST agenda for all: This requires to “kill the evil love for war” asap.  That is, dismantle the Nuke-heads at top level 1st: US-RU, UK, France, Pakistan, India, Israel, Saudis and Iran (if have it). 2nd, disassemble NATO military power surrounding RU-China. Otherwise, these countries has the right to place their nuke-missiles in front of the US too. The summit in Hamburg should nominate the International Committee n time-table to supervise these tasks, avoiding the mistakes of previous effort in this direction. If these nations do not go to the 1st or “core” problem, the summit in Hamburg will be another "bullsh*t." Of course nobody expect the US and EU nation (big-Corp) making now huge business with “nuke-terrorism” will suddenly abandoned those profits.. They will propose instead a piece meal process which causes the failure before. Such fakeness should be not tolerated. First you disarm the armed ones and then come the piece meal process of bringing economic security n protection for all productive investors (excluding the terror business of big corp). The aim is to build a peaceful multi-polar system and eliminate the biases of neoliberal globalism that is creating explosive inequality world-wide. No more economics based on military supremacism. A new world order without wars is urgently need it. If top leaders of the world do not address this issue, poor nations and soldiers of the world will eliminate owners of the current system. RUSSIA DOUBTS PUTIN-TRUMP TALKS WOULD HELP DEFUSE SITUATION WITH NATO  https://sputniknews.com/politics/201706271055004728-putin-trump-talks-nato-situation/

Moscow doubts that a possible meeting of Russian and US presidents, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, respectively, will help defuse the situation between Russia and NATO due to many contradictions between Moscow and the bloc, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry's European Cooperation Department said Tuesday.

VIENNA (Sputnik) – Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday that there were no specific developments yet on the format of Russian President Vladimir Putin's meeting with US President Donald Trump at the G20 summit next month.

"Many contradictions and lack of mutual understanding has piled up between Russia and the bloc, so clearing the backlog created in these years is a rather long process. So even if some issues will be discussed at a high level between the countries, they will most likely concern crisis situations such as Syria and North Korea," Andrey Kelin told reporters when asked whether the talks could defuse the situation between Russia and NATO.

Earlier, both Russian and US administrations said that the two leaders might meet on the sidelines of G20, however, no confirmation of such a meeting has been announced. The G20 summit will be held in the German city of Hamburg on July 7-8.

When commenting on the prospects of the meeting, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov previously said that it "will undoubtedly be expected to deliver specific results."

Military-to-military dialogue? within the NATO-Russia Council needs to be restored to alleviate tensions in Europe, Kelin added. [ Our life can’t be in the hands of  idiots, That is "bullsh*t." ]
Andrey Kelin pointed at the OSCE Annual Security Review Conference in Vienna to US military deployment and the doubling of NATO exercises in Europe, in addition to missile defense-building.

Russia will respond to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) with future reinforcement on its borders, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Department of European Cooperation said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — US President Donald Trump, South Korean President Moon Jae-in and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will hold talks next Thursday ahead of the G20 Summit, sources told Korean media.

The three leaders will discuss North Korea’s nuclear program over a dinner in the port city of Hamburg, which will host a summit of heads of state and government from 20 major industrial nations on July 7-8.

US Missile Defense Launch 'Spectacle' for Japan, S Korea  https://sputniknews.com/us/201705311054160116-us-missile-defense-launch/

On Tuesday, the United States successfully tested its intercontinental ballistic missile interceptor system. According to military expert Alexander Zhilin, the test was a demonstrative gesture.

During the tests, an ICBM-class target was launched from the Raegan Test Site in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. A ground-based intercepting missile was fired from an air force base in California. According to the statement, the target was hit and destroyed as a result of a "direct collision."

The test marks the first time the GMD has been used against an ICBM-class target. All previous launches have been against intermediate-range ballistic missile targets.

"Initial indications are that the test met its primary objective, but program officials will continue to evaluate system performance based upon telemetry and other data obtained during the test," the statement added.

The GMD is a major component of the United States’ missile defense system, aimed at intercepting incoming warheads in space, during the midcourse phase of their ballistic trajectory flight. Currently, 30 intercepting missile are deployed in Alaska and California. An additional 15 missiles are planned to be deployed in 2017.

The test came two days after another ballistic missile launch by North Korea. In response to an increase in Pyongyang’s military activities, Washington has recently been ramping up its presence in the region, including the THAAD deployment in South Korea.

RU OPINION: business and mere dreams

In an interview with Radio Sputnik, Alexander Zhilin, head of the Center for Social Aspects of National Security, suggested that the US conducted a "demonstrative" test.

"As the Pentagon reported a missile targeted was successfully destroyed in a direct collision. In fact, this was a typical training launch, routine for the strategic forces. There’s nothing new about it," Zhilin said.

According to him, this entire "spectacle" was staged for taxpayers and to convince South Korea and Japan to pay to the US for protection from North Korea.

"The missile defense system was notified about the launch. The target was acquired in advance and the flight trajectory was known. Thus, the successful result of this show was guaranteed," the expert concluded.

MORE DREAMS
UKRAINIAN DAYDREAMS: WHY KIEV'S PLANS FOR CRIMEA ARE DOOMED TO FLOP  https://sputniknews.com/world/201706291055085599-ukraine-poroshenko-crimea-status-constitution/
In an interview with Sputnik, Vladislav Ganzhara, a member of Crimea's State Council, commented on Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko's push to change the status of Crimea in the Ukrainian constitution.

Petro Poroshenko had instructed the constitutional commission to prepare a draft of changes regarding the status of Crimea.

He said that the commission is actively working on the tenth section of the Constitution, where the status of the "Autonomous Republic of Crimea" is described.

Kiev has repeatedly insisted that the Crimean Peninsula should again become part of Ukraine, with Poroshenko saying that Ukrainian flags "will soon flutter proudly in free Crimea."

In an interview with Sputnik, Vladislav Ganzhara, a member of Crimea's State Council, did not rule out that Kiev will undertake another aggressive campaign against Crimea in the near future.

"One cannot but agree with the fact that the constitution of Ukraine has become obsolete. Three years ago, Crimea left Ukraine's legal realm and today it is an integral part of the Russian Federation. As for the plans of the Kiev regime and its leadership, I think we will soon see another aggressive move against our republic," he said.

Ganzhara did not exclude that Crimea can be called a "temporarily occupied territory" and that Kiev may start to flirt with the leaders of radical organizations banned in Russia who demand that Crimea should be mentioned as an autonomous nation in the Ukrainian constitution.

"We will not see Crimea's exception from the constitution of Ukraine; instead we will witness a new formulation," he said, referring to the current aggressive rhetoric from Kiev.
"But we understand that no such actions [by Kiev] will change the real situation.

Ukrainian flags [in Crimea] will only be flown in the imagination of Ukrainian politicians. Because the Crimeans made a choice for themselves. For us, the arguments of the Ukrainian side do not matter," Ganzhara concluded.

WASHINGTON BLOG
Flash points on US politics: internal contradict.. Hugh Smith good articles reproduced

Everyone who wants to reduce wealth and income inequality with more regulations and taxes is missing the key dynamic: central banks’ monopoly on creating and issuing money widens wealth inequality, as those with access to newly issued money can always outbid the rest of us to buy the engines of wealth creation.

History informs us that rising wealth and income inequality generate social disorder.

Access to low-cost credit issued by central banks creates financial and political power. Those with access to low-cost credit have a monopoly as valuable as the one to create money.

Compare the limited power of an individual with cash and the enormous power of unlimited cheap credit.

Let’s say an individual has saved $100,000 in cash. He keeps the money in the bank, which pays him less than 1% interest. Rather than earn this low rate, he decides to loan the cash to an individual who wants to buy a rental home at 4% interest.

There’s a tradeoff to earn this higher rate of interest: the saver has to accept the risk that the borrower might default on the loan, and that the home will not be worth the $100,000 the borrower owes.

While the corporate media devotes itself to sports, entertainment, dining out and the latest political kerfuffle, America has become the Over-Criminalization Capital of the World. The proliferation of laws and administrative regulations, federal, state and local, that carry criminal penalties has swollen into the tens of thousands.

The number of incarcerated Americans exceeds 2.3 million, with the majority being non-violent offenders–often for War on Drugs offenses.

Holly Harris has written an important summary of this profoundly destabilizing trend: The Prisoner Dilemma: Ending America’s Incarceration Epidemic (Foreign Affairs, registration required).

The over-criminalization of America is a relatively recent trend. As Harris notes:
It wasn’t always like this. In 1972, for every 100,000 U.S. residents, 161 were incarcerated. By 2015, that rate had more than quadrupled, with nearly 670 out of every 100,000 Americans behind bars.

The over-criminalization of America is rooted in federal laws and regulations, and state and local governments have followed suite. here is Harris’s account:

The burgeoning U.S. prison population reflects a federal criminal code that has spiraled out of control. No one—not even the government itself—has ever been able to specify with any certainty the precise number of federal crimes defined by the 54 sections contained in the 27,000 or so pages of the U.S. Code. In the 1980s, lawyers at the Department of Justice attempted to tabulate the figure “for the express purpose of exposing the idiocy” of the criminal code, as one of them later put it. The best they were able to come up with was an educated guess of 3,000 crimes. Today, the conservative Heritage Foundation estimates that federal laws currently enumerate nearly 5,000 crimes, a number that grows every year.
