ZERO HEDGE  ECONOMICS
Neoliberal globalization is over. Financiers know it, they documented with graphics

"The Fed hiked rates not because it believes the economy is getting stronger, but because it is desperately trying to catch up — before the next crisis...They are now trying to normalize the balance sheet... The projection is that it could take 10 years to achieve. The problem is we might not make it that far before the entire system collapses... We’re in a new reality."

Quantitative Tightening and Wall Street

Eventually, the amount of securities they don’t roll over will go up until the balance sheet controlled by the Fed comes down to the targeted figure. The projection is that it could take 10 years to achieve. The problem is we might not make it that far before the entire system collapses.

We’re in a new reality.
By raising rates and leaving open the possibility of further increases, all of the monetary actions being taken are tightening the economy. The Fed’s QT policy that aims to tighten monetary conditions, reduce the money supply and increase interest rates will cause the economy to hit a wall.

The decision by the Fed to not purchase new bonds will be just as detrimental to tightening of the economy as raising interest rates.

The economy is slowing. Even without any action, retail sales, real incomes, auto sales and even labor force participation are all declining. Every important economic indicator shows that the US economy is slowing right now. When you add in rate hikes and QT, we may very well be in a recession by later this year.

The Fed is tightening into weakness.
Because they’re getting ready for a potential recession where they’ll have to cut yet again. Then it’s back to QE. You could call that QE4 or QE1 part 2.

The point is that the Fed has essentially trapped itself into a state of perpetual manipulation.

This is what Wall Street doesn’t understand. It’s still operating from outdated assumptions on how the business cycle works.

Those on Wall Street continue to have models that build according to the old reality, not the new one.
The reality is that the market is fundamentally set up for a fall. The fact is that the Fed has no idea what it is doing. I would expect a severe stock market correction coming sooner than later.

While the Fed may act to try and bail out the stock market and Wall Street again, they’re not going to be bailing out you and me.

...even if the academics are right and new high-skill jobs emerge to replace the ones that are being automated away, huge disruptions would still await. Large portions of the global workforce would still need retraining. And if work becomes a luxury, widespread joblessness and greater inequality could make it increasingly more difficult for the government to maintain social order.

Of course, the global credit impulse is something that we have been exclusively warning about for the past 4 months...

Snowden: NSA Fail: Massive Holes Exposed in US Spy Agency Security  https://sputniknews.com/military/201706261054965770-massive-holes-in-NSA-security/

Until the Snowden leaks, the United States had no idea how many people had access to its top secret files.

Prior to the earthshaking revelations wrought by the disclosures of NSA-contractor-turned-whistleblower Edward Snowden, the security apparatus of the United States was ignorant as to how many of its own operatives had access to its most secret information for download and transfer, according to a new declassified government report.

The declassified report, in a heavily redacted form, was obtained through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit brought by the New York Times.

It revealed that US security agencies, including the NSA, found that conforming to new mandates to limit access to sensitive information was almost impossible, as the agencies themselves were unaware of the number of employees and contractors who had been granted access.

“Portions of the declassified report that were not redacted revealed that authorities at the NSA asserted to the inspector general that they had misplaced a "manually kept spreadsheet"  that documented how many privileged users existed, in spite of multiple requests for the information.”

Comey Testimony: 'We Now Know That CIA, NSA and FBI Were Leaking Like a Sieve'  https://sputniknews.com/us/201706091054465104-comey-testimony-intel-agencies-leaking/

Former FBI chief James Comey’s congressional testimony underscored how the US intelligence community has been leaking stories repeatedly to embarrass President Donald Trump and sabotage his bid to improve relations with Russia, former CIA analyst and political activist Ray McGovern told Sputnik.

Comey admitted in his testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday that "the main" point of a February New York Times article alleging Trump aides were in cahoots with Russian spies was just plain wrong.

"We now know that the CIA, the NSA and the FBI — the three main institutions in what I call the ‘deep state’ — were leaking like a sieve," McGovern said when asked about Comey’s testimony on Thursday. "They were making sure Trump was disabled in his policy on Russia."

Qatar Emir Remains Committed to Developing Ties With Iran Despite Gulf Row  https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201706261054966805-qatar-iran-gulf-row/

Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a phone conversation on Sunday evening with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and expressed commitment to develop the bilateral relations in all fields despite the ongoing diplomatic row in the Persian Gulf.
According to Al Mayadeen broadcaster, the Qatari Emir said that Doha "is seeking a complex development of relations and cooperation with Iran in order to solve the problems of the Islamic world, which is currently in a difficult situation."

Rouhani, on his part, expressed hope that the regional crisis would be settled by diplomatic means, according to the broadcaster.

"Air, land and sea space will always be open to the brotherly country and neighbor — Qatar," Rouhani stressed during the conversation.

Not Negotiable: North Korea Sticks to Its Guns on Nuclear Weapons  https://sputniknews.com/military/201706251054964388-dprk-weapons-program-not-negotiable/

Pyongyang has reminded Seoul that its nuclear weapons program will continue, regardless of any diplomatic overtures for [ FAKE ] peace.

In a Sunday editorial published by the state-run Rodong Sinmun newspaper, North Korea promised to continue its development of nuclear weapons and the ballistic missiles necessary to deliver them to any target on the planet, regardless of whether bilateral diplomatic negotiation takes place, according to a report by Yonhap News Agency.

Seoul and Washington must stop attempting to get Pyongyang to end its nuclear weapons program, the editorial took an offensive tone, asserting the increasingly isolated nation's right to defend itself as it pleases.

"We should make every effort to strengthen our national defense with the nuclear capability as the backbone," the editorial stated.

"Our self-defensive nuclear deterrent force is never subject to any kind of negotiations, " the statement added, cited by Yonhap.

Washington, Beijing Put the Screws to Pyongyang with Renewed Sanctions  https://sputniknews.com/asia/201706221054895537-us-china-economic-sanctions-pyongyang/

As part of an ever-intensifying effort to lean on North Korea’s nuclear program, China and the United States have agreed to further tighten sanctions on N-k. Specifically, they are banning American and Chinese companies from doing business with North Korean industries.
For years, and particularly since the beginning of the most recent crisis, Washington has urged Beijing to put more pressure on Pyongyang, which heavily relies on China for imports and exports. Eighty-five percent of North Korea's imports in 2015 came from China, according to the Observatory of Economic Complexity.

For the most part, China has not done this. Until mid-April, they were importing far more coal from North Korea than allowed by the UN. According to the Japanese Nikkei Asian Review, China reduced coal imports in April but has also quadrupled iron imports since 2016 to make up for the loss.

TILLERSON’ STORY
US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of Defense James Mattis met with Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi and Chief of Joint Staff General Fang Fenghui, during the inaugural Diplomatic Secretary Dialogue on Wednesday.

"We both agreed that our companies should not do business with any UN-designated North Korean entities in accordance with these resolutions," Tillerson told reporters following the meeting, adding that Washington sees North Koreas as a "top security threat."

Tillerson added:  [Note that Trump crea el problema y Till quiere que CH lo resuelva]
"We reiterated to China that they have a diplomatic responsibility to exert much greater economic and diplomatic pressure on the regime if they want to prevent further escalation in the region,"

"Countries around the world and in the UN Security Council are joining in this effort and we hope China will do their part as well," he said, referring to the new round of sanctions that went into effect at the beginning of June. These sanctions mostly target North Korean financial institutions such as Koryo Bank and the Kangbong Trading Corporation.

Tillerson recognized:
"While I greatly appreciate the efforts of President Xi & China to help with North Korea, it has not worked out. At least I know China tried!"

THEN:  my previous hypothesis or utopia is intact: they got a win-win deal, with secrets hided

Possible Reason Why Israel Struck Syrian Army Position in Golan Heights  https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201706251054962393-why-israel-struck-syrian-army-golan-heights/

The Israeli Air Forces on Saturday attacked the Syrian government forces' tanks and artillery positions after 10 projectiles fell on the Israeli-controlled part of the Golan Heights from Syria.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that projectiles fired from Syrian territory hit an open area in the northern Golan Heights with no injuries as a result of the incident. News confirmed by IDS: Syria's Projectiles Land on Israeli Part of Golan Heights Causing No Casualties - IDF

Syrian channel al-Mayadeen reported that at least two Syrian soldiers were killed as a result of the Israeli airstrikes.

Israel official story:

"In response to over 10 projectiles launched from Syria, IAF aircraft targeted origin of launches & 2 Syrian tanks," the IDF stated.

Following the attack the Israel’s Defense Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, said that Israel would not tolerate encroachments on its sovereignty and security, even in the form of stray shelling.

“We will respond strongly, resolutely and with level-headedness to any such case,”
Lieberman added.

Syrian’ story:

However, the IDF attacked the Syrian Army’s positions despite the statements of the Syrian Army that the missiles toward Israel were launched by accident as it happened during a terrorist rebuttal in Syria.

A source on the ground told RIA Novosti that at that time the Syrian army was indeed resisting a major attack on the city of al-Baath in the province of Quneitra from al-Nusra Front. [ implying that Israel attack was in support of al-Nustra offensive

On Sunday, a similar incident occurred with the IDF again targeting the Syrian government troops' positions after several projectiles from Syria landed in the Golans.

The majority of such incidents are described by the Israeli military as accidental overspills during clashes between the Syrian government forces and opposition groups.

The real issue is Golan Height:  preserving control over the Golan Heights is a strategic issue for Israel.

DISPUTE OVER GOLAN HEIGHTS:
The fertile lands of the Golan Heights were part of Syria up until 1967.

As a result of the Six Day War in 1967 the border area passed under the Israeli protectorate. In 1981, the Israeli parliament voted to annex two-thirds of the region
The United Nations has repeatedly stated that Israel’s occupation of the Golan Heights is illegal, calling for it to be returned to Syria.

Damascus also continues to consider the Golan Heights as illegally annexed. Some experts have noted that the settlement of the crisis in Syria will allow Damascus to direct its efforts on returning the lost territories.

Some reports suggest that recently the Israeli military is showing force to Syria due to the alleged plans of the Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba movement to create a brigade to liberate the Golan Heights from Israeli occupation.

The Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba movement, an Iraqi Shiite militia organization, has formed a brigade to liberate the Golan Heights from Israel, spokesman for the movement, Seyed Hashem Moussavi said earlier.

“After recent victories (in Syria), we have established the Golan Liberation Brigade," al-Moussavi said at a press conference, as quoted by the Tasnim News Agency.
He added, "If the Syrian government requests, we are ready to take actions to liberate Golan."

THE GOLAN LIBERATION BRIGADE: the battle for liberation has started
According to the spokesman, the Golan Liberation Brigade is made up of highly equipped and well-trained special forces.

Earlier, in May 2016, as a result of the Israeli Air Force airstrike on the outskirts of Damascus, the head of the Hezbollah special services, Mustafa Badr al-Din, was killed.

On March 17, the Israeli Air Force once again struck Syria and was fired upon in response from anti-aircraft installations.

According to Damascus, the Syrian anti-aircraft gunners managed to shoot down one of the four IDF aircraft. The Israeli side categorically denies this, claiming that all the aircraft returned to the base unscathed, while the S-200 missiles launched from the territory of Syria were shot down by the Israeli missile defense system.
