"If
You Question Authority, You Are Mentally Ill", Report Finds. Submitted by Tyler
Durden on 01/21/2015. The psychopathologizing of anti-authoritarian
behavior is yet another step on what looks like an increasingly slippery
slope and it strikes us as especially harmful. The American Diagnostic and
Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM for short) defined a new mental
illness, the so-called “oppositional defiant disorder” or ODD. As
TheMindUnleashed.org informs us, the definition of this new mental illness essentially
amounts to declaring any non-conformity and questioning of authority as a form
of insanity. In short, as Natural News put it: According to US
psychiatrists, only the sheeple are sane.

What
4th Amendment? Police Across America Are Using Radars To See Inside People's
Homes. Submitted by Tyler
Durden on 01/21/2015. The intentional erosion of public privacy is no
accident. It’s not merely a simplistically stupid overreaction to the
dangerous world we live in either. It is a very deliberate and nefarious plan
being intentionally implemented by the American oligarchy; i.e., the
super rich and the super powerful. This is precisely why the
establishment freaked out about the Edward Snowden revelations, and it is why
every single minor event is immediately manipulated into an excuse to give
the government and intelligence agencies more power. While we already know a
lot about the NSA’s unconstitutional and fascist policies when it comes to the
web, the decimation of the 4th Amendment is also being eagerly practiced at
a more local level by police departments across the country.

The Ghost

rules always change as the Golden Age of the Central Banker begins to fade. The
SNB decision was a wake-up call, whether or not you were directly impacted, to
re-examine portfolios and investment behavior for category errors. We all have
them. It’s only human. The question, as always, is whether we’re prepared to
do anything about it.

Signs That The Economy Is Really Starting To Bleed Oil Patch Jobs. Submitted by Tyler
Durden on 01/21/2015. The gravy train is over for oil workers. All over
North America, people that felt very secure about their jobs just a few weeks
ago are now getting pink slips. Since 2003, drilling and extraction jobs in the
United States have doubled. And these jobs typically pay very well. It is not
uncommon for oil patch workers to make well over $100,000 a year, and these are
precisely the types of jobs that we cannot afford to be losing. The middle
class is struggling mightily as it is. And just like we witnessed in 2008, oil
industry layoffs usually come before a downturn in employment for the overall
economy.

Bill
Proposed To Allow Voting Without US Citizenship. Submitted by Tyler Durden on 01/21/2015. In order to preserve
a political system in which the votes of the many are bought with the money of
the few or, as the case may be these days, with money printed out of thin air
by the Federal Reserve, there was one bureaucratic hurdle: one still needed a
US passport in order to vote. However if a newly introduced bill in Washington
D.C. passes, one won't even need to be a citizen in order to vote in local
elections.

The Only
Road Out Of Davos. Submitted by
Tyler
Durden on 01/21/2015. It would seem clear that the model, if not the
mold, is broken. In order to fix it, let alone replace it altogether, we
need to understand to what extent it is broken. And to do that, we first
need to know what exactly the model is. However, the rich-and-powerful
in Davos believe in one model only, the one of ever increasing centralization
and globalization, because that’s the model that got them where they are.

Cop To Face No Civil Rights Charges, DoJ Recommends. Submitted by Tyler Durden on 01/21/2015. While

New York Times reports that law enforcement officials have said The
Justice Department has begun work on a legal memo recommending no civil rights
charges against Darren Wilson, the white police officer in Ferguson, Mo.,
who killed the unarmed black teenager in August. A broader civil rights
investigation into allegations of discriminatory traffic stops and excessive
force by the Ferguson Police Department remains open, but Attorney General
Eric H. Holder Jr., has said that he plans to have it done before leaving
office, probably in the next month or two.

A
NEW THEORY OF ENERGY & THE ECONOMY, PART 1. Submitted by Tyler Durden on 01/21/2015How does the
economy really work? In our view, both energy and debt play an extremely
important role in an economic system. Once energy supply and other aspects of
the economy start hitting diminishing returns, there is a serious chance that a
debt implosion will bring the whole system down. In this first piece of this
story, we explain how the economy is tied to energy, and how the leveraging
impact of cheap energy creates economic growth.

majority of productive assets are owned by the few who then have the means to

Kansas
Officials Admit "Strong Correlation" Between Quakes & Fracking. Submitted by Tyler
Durden on 01/21/2015. “If the government and the Kansas Corporation
Commission care about the people of Kansas and the damages, they will order a
moratorium,” exclaims Joe Spease, chairman of the Kansas Sierra Club's
fracking committee following a report from Kansas officials, who have been
reluctant to link the mysterious earthquakes in south central Kansas to
fracking, admitted last week that "we can say there is a strong
correlation between the disposal of saltwater and the earthquakes."
As
LJWorld reports, it's the first time state officials have so clearly stated
the likely cause of the earthquakes, which are afflicting a region where
fracking is widely used.

Russia in the conflict will be crowned with success." The

Leaders Demand "Central Bank Of Oil"; IMF Warns Price Drop Is
Permanent; OPEC Expects "Rebound To Normal Soon". Submitted by Tyler
Durden on 01/21/2015. As long as they are not Swiss, of course. Oil has
been volatile today amid these calls for stability after Saudi Aramco comments
on cutting projects (supply) sent prices higher, and was then talked back by
the CEO bringing prices lower. Oman - the largest non-OPEC Middle East oil
producer - blasted that "we have created volatility," noting it was
having a "really difficult time," and that's "bad for
business," demanding OPEC slow production. But it was The IMF that sparked
the greatest concerns as it warned oil producers to treat this oil price
drop as permanent noting that they expect these economies to lose $300
billion. only to be contradicted by OPEC's al-Badri who noted "oil
prices will rebound back to normal soon."
