WHAT THE CHANCES FOR
HILLARY IN THIS RACE?
Commented by Hugo Adan in brackets
As a Florida Democrat
told POLITICO, there are for her at list
four paths
Path #1: Clinton’s
health fails in a very big and very public way. She’s had multiple public fainting spells since 2005, including one resulting in a broken elbow
in 2009. In 2012, she suffered a concussion and was
hospitalized with cerebral venous thrombosis, a life-threatening blood
clot condition. Her campaign health statement acknowledges these problems and throws
in hypothyroidism to boot, although characterizing the 67-year-old as enjoying
“excellent” health.
[now 71, la
abuelita olvidadiza pero de “cerebro
fino”.. bien cuidado con MlLL de USD mal habidos.]
Path #2: Clinton is indicted in, or
otherwise dragged down over, the “Server-gate” affair, in which she appears to
have illegally mishandled classified information while Secretary of State.
[so far above the law, “la abuelita intocable”.]
Path #3: Clinton comes to big legal or political grief over apparent connections between large donations to her family’s foundation on one hand
and her actions as Secretary of State on the other. For example, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia donated $10 million to the
Clinton Foundation and Boeing donated $900,000. Later, Secretary Clinton
cleared a $29 billion arms deal involving the
two parties. You can see how that kind of thing looks. There may be some
“there” there.
[ La abuelita gana
todas las guerras de big corp .. pero la nación ninguna .. ser patriota da
dinero.]
Path #4: The texts
of Clinton’s Wall Street speeches,
for which she received millions of dollars in
honoraria, are leaked. Clinton’s refusal to release those texts tells us that
their release would be politically damaging. Everything comes to light sooner
or later. If it’s sooner — that is, before July — we may find out how
just how damaging.
[ Acaso les enseñó como
hacer fraude a los del capital buitre”? No lo creo? .. acaso contactos sobre
como evadir impuestos? .. Tampoco lo creo. Si no hubo nada ilegal por qué no
abre los textos?. ]
Any of these four scenarios might
result in Hillary Clinton’s ignominious withdrawal from the presidential race
and release of her delegates, followed by the party’s scramble for an
alternative nominee. If Bernie Sanders
doesn’t quit, he becomes the odds-on favorite for the job.
….
[ IF HE QUITs from the
Dems party is because this instrument of the oligarchy –the bipartisan system-
must be destroyed for democracy to flourish in America. If he quits is because
the 1% frauds, tax evasions and war-investment are causing too much damage to the
US economy and the whole nation, besides jeopardizing peace in the entire world
if nukes are deployed. If Sanders quit from
the Dems party is becasuse he is honest and loyal to the promises of
radical change in America. It won’t be because of money, as Hillary’s motives
are.]

THE COLLAPSE OF THE AMERICAN ECONOMY Part-1

Whether you support him or not, my guess is that most
middle-aged Americans are very surprised about Bernie Sanders' popularity. However,
it shouldn’t be a surprise given the economic stress many Americans face. The

Sadly, roughly 50
million Americans live below the poverty line—the largest number in our
nation’s history—and the poorest 40% of all Americans now spend more than 50%
of their incomes just on food and housing.
Consumer
sentiment is plummeting
No wonder that
consumer sentiment has been sinking fast, which is a very troubling sign for
our consumer-driven economy.

New Homes Sales Suffer 3rd Monthly Drop -
Worst Streak Since July 2011. S- by Tyler
Durden on 04/25/2016
The cracks are
starting to show in the housing 'recovery'. With Starts and Permits already
rolling over, New Home Sales printed a disappointing 511k (vs 520k
expectations), dropping 1.5% MoM. This is the 3rd monthly decline in a row -
the longest such streak since July 2011. While positive for affordability,
the decline MoM and YoY in median home prices (-$9,400 and -$5,400
respectively) will do nothing for The Fed's wealth-creation mandate. The
West saw New Home Sales plunge 23.6% MoM while The Midwest surged 18.5%.

The last time the
S&P 500 "suffered" a Golden Cross (50-day moving average crossing
bullishly above the 200-day moving average), it marked the top in December
which was rapidly followed by a decline only coordinated global central
manipulation could save. This time it is also being met with weakness as The
Dow loses the key 18,000 mark, VIX jerks back above 14.5 and S&P is
tumbling...

Yen
Surges Most In 3 Weeks After Goldman's Short Reco. S-by Tyler Durden on 04/25/16
Just 24 hours after Goldman Sachs suggests
a looming collapse in the Yen (USDJPY
to 130), the Japanese currency is rallying by the most in 3 weeks against the
USDollar. Having been hammered on Friday, Yen has rallied back over 100 pips
this morning (pushing USDJPY
back to a 110 handle) as a potential short-USDollar squeeze begins (with hedge
funds net short the greenback for the first time since July 2014).

Shocking Finding, The Bank Of Japan Is Now A Top 10 Holder In 90% Of Japanese

The Bank of Japan which days ahead of a move which may see
it double its ETF purchases from the current run rate of JPY3.3 trillion to
JPY7 trillion or more (if Goldman is correct), is revealed to be a top 10
holder in about 90% of all Japanese stocks. Crazier still, if as Goldman
predicts the BOJ doubles its purchases of ETFs, the central bank could
become the No. 1 shareholder in about 40 of the Nikkei 225’s companies by the
end of 2017,

Oil Recovery? Saudi Borrowing Costs Spike To 7 Year Highs. S- by Tyler
Durden on 04/25/16
Despite oil's rebound off cyclical lows and the world's
exuberance that the energy space may be saved (on the basis of headline-reading
algos pumping momentum into commodity futures products that only leveraged
Chinese speculators could find value in), something ugly is occurring in Saudi
Arabian money-markets.There appears to be a growing funding squeeze in
The Kingdom as 3-month interbank rates spike above 2% for the first time
since Jan 2009 prompting King Salman to approve a 'post-oil economic plan'.

The dangerous divergence will then take a nasty turn.
The bottom half of the 1% will now be as angry as the 99%. Any attempt by the
establishment to further screw the nation by bailing themselves out will be met
with violent disapproval. The country is a powder keg. The upcoming election is
guaranteed to inflame opposing factions. A stock market crash in the next
six months would sow the seeds of financial, political, and social upheaval not
seen in this country since the 1960s. The established social order will be
swept away in a swirl of chaos and retribution. The dangerous divergence will
be resolved.

AMERICAN
DEMOCRACY IS RIGGED. By Hamid Dabashi
[[ Good info .. wrong theoretical analysis .. sharia rules doesn’t
apply to US politics. Case in point: If you area a woman trying to drive
in Saudi Arabia: You could not.]]
…
The Republican and Democratic parties are functioning like
two identical but competing Orwellian Ministries of Truth
This entirely undemocratic, arcane, draconian, and ipso facto
rigged aspect of the US electoral system came to a crucial dead-end during the
New York primaries of the Democratic and Republican parties on April
19, when Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump won their respective primaries.
..
Some 20 million people live in the state of New York, of
which about 8.4 million live just in New York City. .. Now, consider the fact
that according to reports, "only 19.7 percent
of eligible New Yorkers cast a ballot, the second-lowest voter
turnout among primary states after Louisiana, according to elections expert Michael
McDonald".
..
This is not to mention the fact that even those who were
registered Democrats and could not vote: "The Kings County Board of
Elections purged 126,000 registered Democrats from the voting rolls in
Brooklyn, prompting an outcry from Mayor Bill de Blasio and an audit from
Comptroller Scott Stringer." .. This is not to mention the fact that even
those who were registered Democrats and could not vote: "The Kings County
Board of Elections purged 126,000 registered Democrats from the voting rolls in
Brooklyn, prompting an outcry from Mayor Bill de Blasio and an audit from
Comptroller Scott Stringer."
Whatever the cause of
this "purge" (fraud or mishap), this is not the main calamity of the
electoral process in the US. The issue is the fact that less than 20 percent of eligible
voters in a statewide election get to choose who the next presidential
candidates in the US national elections would be. This low number
is not any indication of an apathetic low voter turnout, but, in fact, is the evidence of massive voter suppression.
Now, the question is
very simple:
Since when can a political party (with an obvious political agenda to
promote for its own endurance) violate the inalienable right of citizenship in
a republic?
SOME MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS
..
The principle reason for this voter suppression is what they
call in the US "closed
primaries". What is a closed primary? .. is when they only allow voters who are
registered members of a particular political party to vote in that party's
primary.
..
It is not, therefore,
accidental that much to Sanders and his massive supporters among independents,
"Clinton has won every state so far that's held a
closed primary".
If, as a citizen, you
came to the conclusion that Sanders is the candidate of your choice and not
Clinton, you would not be allowed to vote for him
unless months ago (long before you were familiar with Sanders or his
ideas), you had applied to the Democratic Party and
become a member.
..
It must be a
rudimentary fact [or democracy argument] to claim that if you are a citizen of
a republic, you must be able to vote in any phase of any presidential (or any
other) election simply by virtue of being a citizen. .. In the US
presidential primaries, these citizens are not allowed to vote unless and until
they are card-carrying members of the political party conducting that primary.
..
So, "All animals
are equal," as we learned from George Orwell's Animal Farm, "but some animals are more equal than
others".
..
As a result of this blatantly undemocratic practice, if you
are an independent-minded person, inform yourself if you are allowed to vote
for the candidate you prefer before going to the Democratic primaries like the one in New
York. If you area a woman trying to drive in Saudi Arabia: You could not.
..
[[ You are applying the rules of Saudis to the US. You saying
that voter were not allowed to vote Sanders because either he was not a
candidate before this election, or voters didn’t know that inside the Dems
party were not allowed democratic socialist program, like the one from Sanders.
This is his 1st time running for Presid, so voters had not the chance
to have a member-card to vote him now. Is this a punishment to him for not
being pro-big corp and pro Wall Street inside the dems party? .. The case is
that we are not voting wrong when we choose Sanders, we are right .. It would
be wrong to vote Hillary and we won’t do it is she wins a nomination based on frauds. The electoral rule foster
cronyism, fraud and corruption (the buying of elections). Then, the rules are
obsolete, anti-democratic and totally unfair. Then, for us -the followers of
Sanders program- there are only two
choices 1-press to change the rules (time limit is CA primary). 2- get out of
this oligarchical party and vote for a People’s FRONT. In short: we won’t vote Hillary if she win this fraudulent electoral
race. ]]

Margaret Kimberley. Not Feeling
the Bern
This lady is very
critical of Sanders advisors and the issue of REV against capitalism and
disenfranchisement in the current race . She said that convicted felons can’t
cast a ballot at all but what about Bernie supporters who found out they can’t
vote. If they want a revolution they can start by
helping others get the right to vote too.
There is a long slog
ahead until the Democratic party convention in July. Hillary Clinton will
continue to repulse and Bernie Sanders will claim the Pope or a king or a queen
wanted to meet him [to be absent?]. That I like is her last statement: “The
Sanders people need to do as the Black Agenda Report
advised and plan for his eventual exit. They –Sanderss people still
don’t have their Plan
B.
….
My question is: does Margaret Kimberley has any suggestion regarding the
Plan B.?

WASHINGTON BLOG
Posted on April 25, 2016 by Charles
Hugh Smith
That the status quo–the current pyramid of wealth and
power dominated by the few at the top–has failed is self-evident, but we can’t
bear to talk about it.This is not just the result of a corporate media that
serves up a steady spew of pro-status quo propaganda–it is also the result of
self-censorship and denial.
Why do we avoid talking about the failure of the status
quo? We know it is beyond reform, and we’re afraid: afraid that the
promises of financial security cannot be kept, afraid of our own precariousness
and fragility, and afraid of what will replace the status quo, for we all know
Nature abhors a vacuum, and when the status quo crumbles, something else will
take its place.
We all prefer the comforting promises of vast central
states. No wonder so many Russians pine for the glory days of the Soviet
Union, warts and all.
But the central bank/state model has failed, and history
can’t be reversed. The failure is not rooted in superficial issues such as
which political party is in power, or which regulations are enforced; the
failure is structural. The very foundation of the status quo has rotted away,
and brushing on another coat of reformist paint will not save our societal
house from collapse.
