Greece
And The Endgame Of The Neocolonial Model Of Exploitation. Submitted by Tyler
Durden on 02/19/2015 With the bankruptcy of Greece now undeniable, we've
finally reached the endgame of the Neocolonial-Financialization Model. There
are no more markets to exploit with financialization, and the fact that the
mountains of debt are unpayable can no longer be masked. At this point, the
financial Aristocracy has an unsolvable dilemma: writing off defaulted
debt also writes off assets and income streams, for every debt is
somebody else's asset and income stream. When all those phantom assets are
recognized as worthless, the system implodes.

IETA: Greece's "State Of The Art" Euro Printing Facility. Submitted
by Tyler Durden on 02/19/2015. While the ECB is
responsible for determining the euro-zone's supply of bank notes, it doesn't
actually print them; instead it outsources the work to central banks of a few
euro-zone countries (one of which is Greece). As
WSJ reports, the Greek
central bank's bank-note printing facility is called IETA. Built in
1941, the Attica plant today is outfitted with "state-of-the-art
machinery," and has been responsible for printing batches of €10 notes,
according to the ECB. One wonders how tempted the Greeks will be to take
matters into their own ink-stained hands, should the ECB/Germany/Eurogroup pull
the plug without acquiescing to their non-ultimatum "take it or leave
it" offer...

the United States sees an Iraqi military offensive involving 20,000-25,000
troops to retake Mosul from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria in April-May, a
U.N. military official said on Thursday.

How Germany Is Blowing Up The European Union. Submitted by Tyler Durden on 02/19/2015. If Greece gives in, Germany will have won, but its bully status will come to bite it in the face. European nations don’t accept bullying, and certainly not from Germany. It’ll be a Pyrrhic victory: the beginning of the end. If Greece however stands firm in its demands, it’s also curtains for the EU. If Greece leaves, it won’t leave alone. Only the third option, Germany caving to Greek demands, can save the EU. But Merkel and Schäuble have prepped their people to such an extent with the wasteful lazy Greeks narrative that they would have a hard time explaining why they want to give in. The EU may thus fall victim to its own propaganda. [Germany don’t need the EU, the US-NATO need it. Germany can go back to the Marco, make a deal with Russia-China and re-built their economy fast. If happens, bye bye NATO]

Slams Greek Bailout Extension Proposal As "Trojan Horse" - Full Text. Submitted by Tyler
Durden on 02/19/2015. As leaked by Reuters moments ago, here is the text of
a document that describes Germany's position on Greece's letter requesting an
extension of its bailout facility as nothing short of a Trojan Horse. [Germans know that
Greeks will get out, there is not life for them inside. In Germany Merkel is pretending
to be concerned with Greece fate while members of the right party are against.
The only hope for the rightist in Germany is that the US finances the bailout
to zero for Greeks. If doesn’t happen, the European split will come. Merkel
will say that dissolving the EU was not her fault. She will be re-elected as
Chancellor, and will be the 1st in making peace and deals with
Greece to favor the transit of oil-gas from Russia. This is that I see in my
crystal ball: my WHAT IF program]

concluded that "perhaps the only question is whether fighting continues

"pro-Russian separatists have launched mortar attacks on
government-held positions near the coastal town of Mariupol in southeast
Ukraine and are building up their forces there, local military reached by

Mission to retake Mosul to begin in April, May
WASHINGTON (AP) - The operation to retake Iraq's second largest city from Islamic State militants will likely begin in April or May and will involve about 12 Iraqi brigades, or between 20,000 and 25,000 troops, a senior U.S. military official said Thursday. Laying out details of the expected Mosul operation for the first time, the official from U.S. Central Command said five Iraqi Army brigades will soon go through coalition training in Iraq to prepare for the mission. Those five would make up the core fighting force that would launch the attack, but they would be supplemented by three smaller brigades serving as reserve forces, along with three Peshmerga brigades who would contain the Islamic State fighters from the north and west.
