to indicate we are in the Last 100 days of the rally, perhaps also the Last
100 Days of the secular upswing that began in March 2009...
The current rally started in February 2016 on the 2nd day of Yellen's
Humphrey-Hawkins testimony. The
inflection was caused by a. uber-bearish Positioning, b. uber-bearish profit
expectations, c. Policy easing. And thus BofAML
believe the rally will end with a. bullish
Positioning, b. bullish Profit expectations, c.
Policy tightening.
We’re not there yet.

8. Bear flattening of
yield curves as markets discount Fed playing catch-up (see Investment Clock

The Big Top
At this stage we see the
potential in 2018 for rising rates & falling EPS, a complete reversal of
the era of falling interest rates & rising profit margins that has caused
risk assets to do so stunningly well since 2009. In the absence of an acceleration in labor
productivity, the incoming President will find it tougher to engender the 2nd
greatest bull market (2870), or the greatest ever (3504 - although should Trump
match the historic 1st term annualized equity gain of 11% p.a. then 4 years of
Trump would take the S&P500 to 3480.), or the longest ever (Sept 1st 2018).
More likely risk assets will make a major top later
in 2017.

Overview
This article explains
three critical reasons why the Democratic Party’s leaders are far more insane
than all but a few Democrats understand. It focuses on the leaders of the
Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the New Democrats. The DNC
leadership is composed of New Democrats. Debbie Wasserman Schultz had to
resign in disgrace when the leaks proved that she was putting the DNC’s thumbs
on the scale to favor Hillary Clinton (a New Democrat) in the presidential
nomination contest against Bernie Sanders. Wasserman Schultz also took
large contributions from big finance and, until she faced the prospect of a
serious primary challenger, she supported efforts by predatory lenders to use
Congress to bar the regulators from stopping their abuses.
Donna Brazile, a New
Democrat, now runs the DNC. In this article, I show that Brazile
denounced Democrats who refused to cheer President Bush’s invasion of Iraq (and
his “Mission Accomplished” declaration) as so disloyal that when their country
needed them they went “AWOL.” Not satisfied with that libel, she added
the homophobic smear that voters would view Democrats who failed to cheer
Bush’s lies and invasion as “effete.” Best of all, she said that
Democrats should take as their role models Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, and
Frank Gaffney – Bush’s “chicken hawks” that devised the campaign of lies that
led to the disastrous invasion of Iraq. Gaffney is now spreading hate of
Muslims – and advising President Trump.

President Trump has a golden
opportunity to strike a major blow for civil rights with a single executive
order: end the failed “War on Drugs” and shut down America’s drug-war gulag.
None of the previous three presidents expended any political capital on curbing
the immensely destructive “War on Drugs” or freeing the (in many states,
preponderantly African-American and Hispanic-American) prisoners in America’s
drug-war gulag.
“Fake-liberal” Bill Clinton did
nothing, “fake-conservative” George W. Bush did nothing, and “fake-liberal”
Barack Obama did nothing to end the
“War on Drugs” or curb the gulag it created. Their parties and supporters were
delighted to appear “tough on crime” while destroying the lives of hundreds of
thousands of African-American, Hispanic-American and other Americans with long
sentences in the gulag for selling nickel bags of “illegal” drugs, while
America’s parasitic Big Pharma industry reaped billions of dollars in profits
selling “legal” opiates while handing our self-serving politicos millions in
campaign contributions.
The imprisonment of hundreds of
thousands of young Americans–preponderantly Americans of color in state after
state– in America’s drug-war gulag is the greatest violation of civil rights
since the 1960s— yet fake-liberals and fake-conservatives alike have
done nothing but turn their self-serving gaze away from this needless, costly,
stupid waste of lives and treasure.
