Socialism is in fact
a social movement born centuries before Marxist ‘comunism’ with the
‘Manifesto’ (1848). Since it emerge “socialism” was tied to working classes
exploit by the emergent capitalism
during the renascence or enlightment (16th Century). The new
Geo-market (thanks to navigation ships) make the landowners oppression of
peasant obsolete, they were expelled & became the proletarians in big
cities.
The context was full of science
& Tech (Phisics &even astronomy flourished) That was the time when the 1st type of socialism emerge: UTOPIAN Socialism of Moro & Campanella (sealers
describe what they saw in The INCAS socialism in the South, that was the base for
Utopian socialism).
When Christian initiate the REFORM even
GOD Blessed Socialism: The Reformists condemned the atrocities of the Saint
Inquisition, their anti-feminism & the stolen gold in natives & muslim
churches. This 1st socialism
came hand on hand with PEACE against war, with the exception of “peasant war”
against feudal nobility.
From 17 Century on came the other 4 tipos of
socialism.
EL SOCIALISM OWENIANO (Robert
Owen) fue el mas extendido a nivel mundial. He was a ‘production investor’ who knew
the negative aspects of Capitalism better than other utopian socialists.
He was the 1st who manage to put together labor & to create a
new system: socialism he named to a system that criticized the unfair condition
of labor in industrial Revolution.
He not only criticized the private property, ha also demolished the
religion that sanctified, besides insulting top bourgeois marriage based on
money. He was rationalist with atheist inclination.
He conceived the future socialism as classless
society with free federation of self governing communities. Each uniting with 300 to 2,000 people.
He came to America (US: 1825) to organize labor communes, but he fail
to organize Rev battalions to confront bourgeois violent attack.
Back in England he participate in the British trade union and coops movement. He did not believe in socialist Rev but
instead preferred a top-down coup d’etat, according to some scholars.
THE FABIAN OR MUNICIPAL
SOCIALISM. This English collectivism think social policy as essentially
non-revolutionary but as pragmatic and rational intervention in favor of
“welfare local State”.
The Fabian Society was founded in 1884
by (among others) Beatriz & Sidney Weeb
& George Bernard Shaw. They took the name from Fabius, a Roman
general whose motto was ‘slow but sure’.
The Municipal Socialism and
State support of the conditions of Labor was its salient feature. What we
have to create is Labor Party backed by Trade Unions, they said & they got
it.
In 1945 over half the members of the
Parliament for the Labor Party were Fabians. They were always concerned with
socialist ideas of equality, freedom and fellowship.
Fabianism was criticized as
untheoretical, nationalistic, incrementalist & bureaucratic elitism. However,
those critiques didn’t underrates their
historical influence and continuing strength of the Fabians as left wing and they didn’t defeat the empirical tradition
of Fabian Society.
THE RUSSIAN & CHINESE
SOCIALISM Nowadays they mix both socialism via State Own Enterprise (SOEs) with
capitalist competition (and neoliberal market trade).
The old Marxist frame of proletarian
dictatorships has been abandoned, instead they celebrate type of democratic
election inside the one party system that incorporate different political
trends and via vote define who goes to the ruling party like in the west, but internally & without fraud and buying of votes.
The dominant feature is cooperative
socialism (old koljosian tradition) and it is still dominant in small cities.
The old stalinist dictatorship has
been erased. The bolchevik item and flags are only relics of past Rev. The
alliance & solidarity of the working classes with other sectors of society
is still dominant.
With them, the planned development of
the whole society has defined the
success of socialism at worldwide level. Facts on this reality nobody can discussed.
IN SHORT, ALL FORMS OF
SOCIALISM HAVE MANY THINGS IN COMMON:
1-They all define socialism as defense
of PUBLIC NEED Agst PRIVATE GREED
2-They all define socialism as common
ownership & control of basic means of production (los que brinda la
naturaleza, like tierra, aguas, minerals..)
3- They are all in favor of PEACE and
against WW3
4- They are all in favor of controlling
BANKs in favor of PUBLIC NEED and against QEs and Bail out to billoinaires.
They instead favor TOBIN tax to them
5- They strongly support policies en
favor del medio ambiente
6-They support Nation
autodetermination & liberation Mov Agst neo-colonialis
7- They support all polices Agst
Imperial neoliberalism
8- They support the best health &
Educ fall all and free house for the poor
