ON Brief Moment of Unity in
a Disintegrating Empire
By Hugo Adan. Oct 3-17
The sequence:
Fake nationalism = war mongerism = bringing
politics to sports = bringing political missions to religion = eliciting
Islamic terrorism. In short: FAKE NATIONALISM conduces to MORE
TERRORISM.
IF WE REALLY WANT A UNITED NATION:
1st reduce explosive economic inequalities,
that is: design a post-neoliberal agenda.
2nd Stop the production of
weapons and wars: that foster disrespect to human life and the context for
violence like the one we have recently.
Meaning A: we should focus on the transition from
unipolar system to a multipolar one on the basis of total disassemble of
nuclear weapons, and commons grounds for post-neoliberal frame.
Meaning B: nuke-war should be discarded as option in
geo-politics, starting at the level of rhetoric. MAD theory states that in WW3
there won’t be winners, only destruction and barbaric life, if any remains.

That comment was based on this reading:
...or will this massacre be like the Sandy Hook Elementary School
slaughter of 20 children in Newtown, Connecticut, or Charleston massacre of
black churchgoers by Dylan Roof - uniting us briefly in “sadness, shock and grief” only to divide us
again and, more deeply, in our endless war over guns.
…
NOTICE: I
already a made a comment on the useless policy of prohibiting fire-arms
1- Cutting the sell of fire-arms is not an option in
political nor in legal terms.
That policy failed and produced the opposite effect.
2- War context &
manufacturing WMD is the problem. WMD
kills much more people than fire-arms, especially abroad & it infected our
soldiers with DU and disables them and the worse: it illicit a climate and context in favor
of violence and total disrespect for human life.
3- Either we
accept “Las Vegas mass shooting” as US normality (because is good business for few big Corp: then we should expect more of the same
violence) OR we stop such “business”
4- We must change our
domestic & foreign politics in favor of pacifism and diplomatic solution
of conflicts. That is the only way to cut the evilness of violence. Hugo Adan
