TSLA's late-day panic-bid explosion higher lifted Nasdaq and S&P into the green...

Mislav Matejka, head strategist at JPM, is still very bullish equities and does not fear tapering.

Mislav: "Tapering to start, but the Fed is unlikely to career much into hawkish territory, as they are likely to continue giving inflation the benefit of the doubt. This holds for ECB too. Our view remains that key central banks will stay dovish, which will result in steeper curves => a tailwind for stocks. Inflation forwards and bond yields continue to show a large gap, and are likely to close from both sides. Real rates are likely to move up into yearend. We believe that broad equity indices can tolerate tapering, as the excess liquidity is remaining ample".
