THE MEANING of NEGATIVE
VOTE
FOR MANY VOTERS, IT’S NOT WHICH
PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE THEY’RE FOR BUT WHICH THEY’RE AGAINST

“American voters are generally skeptical that either Hillary Clinton or
Donald Trump would
make a “great” or “good” president.
But another dynamic in the 2016 presidential election is the
significant share of voters who say their vote is based more on which candidate
they are against rather than which one they are for.
In both 2008 and 2000, half or more of each candidate’s supporters said
their vote was more a vote for their candidate than a vote against
the opposing party’s candidate.
In a recent Pew
Research Center survey, 53% of Clinton supporters say they consider their
vote more in support of her, while 46% say their vote is more against Trump.
Negative voting is somewhat more prevalent among Trump supporters: 53% say
their vote is primarily against Clinton. Fewer (44%) say their vote is in
support of Trump.

MY OPINION
The survey 2016 was
conducted in Aug 9, when the primaries were done
and both Conventions selected their candidates (What is the validity of the
sample? Where it was took? Is it representative
of the whole Universe ? ) There is not info about, then is not truthful like other
poll-survey on the matter.
If the survey were
conducted during those Conventions, then it could be representative of the
respective party at that time. In that case , the vote FOR is the legitimate support the candidate had at that time. And the vote AGAINST is the vote which doesn’t belong to the candidate. It could change, if
the electoral circumstances change.
If Hillary got 53% of acceptance in Ag 2016,
it mean that she barely passed the line of legitimate representation of her Party
, not the Nation. And NOT because If
we consider that only 50% of the total national electorate goes to elections, that
53% of acceptance is really only 25%
representation of the whole nation. The situation is worse in the case of
Trump, he only got real credit of 44% of
the GOP, around 20% of the whole nation.
MEANING: the highest the rates of negative votes or AGAINST vote, the
less representative is this vote and the election of a real democracy in
America. The 2016 election is less
democratic than the previous one.
The adding of the AGAINST
votes give as the real picture of our collapsing democracy. In 2016 the
addition of negatives was 99% , while in
2008 it was 60%. The 2008 election was less antidemocratic than the current
one.
In a more recent poll
( Oct 31-16) published from ABC , it is
said that both Trump and Hillary have 59% of negative vote . It means that more than a 100% of registered voters hate both of them.
In other words, they both are illegitimate representatives of our Nation.

Post Tracking Poll, released on Monday, show that 59 percent of registered
voters have an unfavorable view of Clinton, and an identical percentage of
voters dislike Trump.
The former first
lady’s growing unpopularity follows renewed focus on her use of a private email
server while she served as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.

This also means that 99% of our nation is not represented by
both candidates. Trump and Hillary only represent the 1% of the nation.
This election is much more oligarchical than the 2008. The fact that many GOPs will
vote for Hillary today and that many who vote Trump hate Hillary is also
indication of the severity of the trap “vote for lesser evil”.
Vote for lesser evil means vote for not good government and not
legitimate governance. It is a WASTED
VOTE. This is not better that Abstention: don’t vote, or vote blank.
It is also less good than voting for a 3rd
option.
Voting evils is worse
than abstention and worse than voting for a 3rd option party. At least
by voting for a 3rd option CASE OF JILL
STEIN you strongly reject the current
oligarchical system while keeping alive your principles and conviction for a
future democracy in our Nation.
