POLITICS in AMERICA: HERE LAST  TITLES from FOREIGN POLICY IN Focus = FPIF

[ Take a look of the first two Arts to get a sense on the theoretical coherence in FPIF  approach:

Trump Takes on the World : Donald Trump's not-so-veiled racism, crude economic populism, and male bravado make him the closest thing the U.S. has to an authentic European-style fascist.  [RIGHT!! ]

Now the 2nd title:

What if, Faced With Nuclear War, We Surrendered? . Most people are aware that, in the event nuclear deterrence fails, the ensuing nuclear war, whether controlled or all-out, will result in a level of death and devastation to both sides that lends new meaning to the term Pyrrhic victory. But, what if, threatened by an imminent nuclear attack, a nation such as the United States, surrenders instead?  .. Thus, “the only true way to win a nuclear war is not to fight it.” ..   surrendering on the cusp of nuclear attack not only keeps the United States safe from a nuclear attack in the present as well as in the future.

[This is another type of false dilemma: A real anti-fascist journal does not make such “fascistic” question. In war-time you either fight or surrender. THE REAL ANTI-FASCIST QUESTION SHOULD BE how to stop the nuke war in process... In more precise terms: HOW TO DISMANTLE THE NUKES IN BOTH SIDES NOW?. .. It happened one time in history and it should happen again. If we got this aim, not need to talk on fighting a nuclear war,  and not need to talk on winners or losers. ]

In the end, Trump is what America had earned. Trump is what America deserved. Trump was our reckoning.  And while his rise to power was born of our failings, it also forced us to find our strength. It’s amazing how adaptable we are as human beings, isn’t it? Trump saved us. [ NICE SATIRE .. but.]

[ A better title would be: Looking Back On The Presidency of either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. In the end, Trump or Hillary is what America had earned. Trump or Hillary is what America deserved. Trump or Hillary  are our reckoning.  And while h/is rise to power was born of our failings, it also forced us to find our strength. It’s amazing how adaptable we are as human beings, isn’t it? Trump & Hillary saved us. ]

"What, with a cloth or something?," Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton said earlier this week, in a sarcastic and fairly condescending reply to a reporter who pressed her on whether she had attempted to wipe her private e-mail server clean before turning it over to the FBI. That was the second time in a week that Clinton has attempted to deflect questions about the server with a dark mix of humor and disdain, and it’s backfired both times. Now, the Clinton campaign has admitted that in fact, classified information was stored on the Democratic frontrunner's home e-mail server.

[ She lied again & again & that is not mere dark humor & disdain .. that is a mockery on justice ]

Comedian George Carlin is known as one of the most controversial and outspoken entertainers of his time, and as far as the government is concerned, he could have possibly been a terrorist.

[ In my opinion George CARLIN was the perfect & amazing nihilist that America deserved  ]

If there’s anything Brazil certainly does not need, it’s more bad news. The country is, in many ways, a symbol of the great EM unwind and the situation is made immeasurably worse by political instability. The economic outlook - which was already bad enough between a harrowing bout of staglflaton and dual deficits on the fiscal and current accounts - just got a lot worse as unemployment spiked to 7.5%, well ahead of consensus and the worst in five years. How bad is it you ask? Bad enough that BofAML now says the "key" stat to focus on is the number of participants in recurring street protests.

In the current Theater of the Absurd, the world's most powerful central bank is relying on a novelty tune to maintain the hyper-speculative status quo. It would be humorous if it wasn't so tragic.

Persistently low oil prices have already inflicted economic pain on oil-producing countries. But with crude sticking near six-year lows, the risk of political turmoil is starting to rise. There are several countries in which the risks are the greatest – Algeria, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria, and Venezuela – and, as we noted previously, RBC Capital Markets has labeled them the “Fragile Five.”

If it were not for Social Security, half of retirees would be out in the street bringing back another Great Depression like atmosphere. This is in stark contrast to that 401(k) dreams pushed by Wall Street investment banks of endless Margaritas and walks on nameless sunny beaches. The sad reality is that retirement is no longer what people think.

Given that self-regulation worked so well in the financial services industry, The United Nations, according to AP,has decided to allow Iran to use its own inspectors to investigate a site accused of being used to develop nuclear bombs. While the Obama administration was"confident in the agency's technical plans for investigating the possible military dimensions of Iran's former program," John Cornyn of Texas, the second-ranking Republican senator, said of the 'secret agreement' - since The UN normally does this work itself - "trusting Iran to inspect its own nuclear site and report to the U.N. in an open and transparent way is remarkably naive and incredibly reckless."

The second great depression, which for industrial bellwether CAT started in December 2012 and has since resultedin 32 consecutive months of declining global retail sales and over a year longer than the decline observed during the great financial crisis, refuses to go away.

While still hovering at multi-decade lows, initial jobless claims (up 4,000 to 277k) have now risen for 4 straight weeks (for the first time since August 2010).

Trump, along with Bernie Sanders on the left, is unique in not being beholden to big money. Sanders does not take it, and Trump does not need it. If either candidate makes it to the White House, he will be in a position to stand up to Wall Street and do what is right for the country.
