ARAB REVOLUTION'S HARDEST LESSON: LOSING SIGHT OF THE COUNTERREVOLUTION

ARAB REVOLUTION'S HARDEST LESSON: LOSING SIGHT OF THE COUNTERREVOLUTION.
The counter-revolution has smashed the dynamics of the democratic uprisings.

INTRODUCTION by Hugo Adan. Jan 9, 2014

Jean-Pierre  said  As early as Spring 2011, I wrote "The Arab revolution, ten lessons about the democratic uprising… Such a leap in the dark was not the attitude a seasoned historian should adopt”. You right !.. you jumped into a pool without water: nobody pay attention to your article. Now you try to dive in it with a expression that lacks evidence “Bashar al-Assad, by driving one-third of his own population out of their homes, has climbed to the top of this murderous class of Arab tyrants”. That is a French stupid-biased statement. It never occurred to you that a revolution can be captured, kidnapped and destroyed by foreign jihadist financed, armed and trained by Israel, US-Saudis, Qatar & Oman plus the whole West members of NATO (including the fake socialist regime you have in France). You should update your info and rid-off your biases. Then you will be historian. So far, you have a good title and very poor content.

Now you try to talk about counter revolutions and you didn’t address this issue. I guess you don’t have even a clue of what is an explanatory model. Try these basic rules derived from an anti-imperialist model and current experiences.  Basic assumption: most counter revolutions has been fabricated by the empire in turn,  and recently,  even “revolutions” has been manufactured by the CIA and allied apparatuses in East Europe and the Middle East.

Then, rebels once in power, should solve these basic issues to avoid counter revolutions:

A. Help people to solve crucial socio-economic problems by creating cooperative networks and providing leadership and financing for such endeavor. A revolution needs a financial support to accomplish such aim, it should open doors to alternative FDI other than ‘for profit’ big banks & corporations of the West full of crooks and speculators ready to corrupt (bribing leaders) and plunder local resources y ruin the life of common people. If basic socio-ec problems are not solved (food, health and work), the 1st chance for counter-revolution arises.

B. Incorporate into some levels of State decision-making to moderate opposition leaders. This implies open doors to political participation of different voices and little by little (starting by the uses of Referendums on National issues). The rebels in power should know that some leaders of the social class deposed from power will be easily corrupted and manipulated by foreign agencies to derail the process of revolution. TV, press and internet should be either tie-controlled or open to opposite voices.

 C. State-religion separation should be mandatory to guarantee the freedom of faith to all (any special privilege to any church should be eliminated). Equal rights and freedoms for men and women should be also instated.  Basic School and Health system should be provided free of charge by the State under the principle of “the best for all”.  War mongerism, xenophobias and racism will be prohibited.

D. National and Public security should  be based on:

A. Full respect to the constitutional law and due process. The Constitution should be enacted democratically and approved via referendum.

B. Not foreign enterprise will be allowed to possess strategic resources inside the country starting with water, land and mines.

C. The State and FDI can run mixed companies on strategic-resources, with the State reserving the 55% of the total shares, at least. From this, at least 20% of this revenues will go to the National Army  and Policy forces that protect  National and public security.

D. Crook predatory companies will be banned inside the country.

E. The armed forces are in charge of protecting the national sovereignty at economic, political and military level.

F. The State have the right to neutrality on wars  abroad and the right to deplore any foreign invasion by super-power nations on developing  countries.

G. The foreign training of the military will be prohibited, and so its financial support.

Those are the minimum issues to be considered to prevent counter-revolutions.

ARAB REVOLUTION'S HARDEST LESSON: LOSING SIGHT OF THE COUNTERREVOLUTION.
The counter-revolution has smashed the dynamics of the democratic uprisings.  [Nice statement but it doesn’t  fit in your discourse.  Case in point: Syria]
