ANEXO 2: updated version up to August 11.

Here we added two columns to the Official data published by NBColympics. We added (a) Quality medals (total points according to quality medals: 3 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronce), and (b) fair Ranking of positions up to August 11. By doing so, we will notice the mistake in to official table in which Russia is given the 3rd place instead of Great Britain. If one error happens, it could happen one hundred.Check such mistake in: http://www.nbcolympics.com/medals/index.html

Country Medalist/ G S B= Total medals= Quality Points/ Rank

United States 41/26/28= 95= 203/ 1st

China 37/ 25/ 20= 82= 181/ 2nd

Great Britain 26/ 15/ 18= 59= 126/ 3rd

Russia 18/ 22/ 28= 68= 126/ 4th

Germany 10/ 19/ 14= 43= 82/ 5th

-----------------------------------------

The difference between this rank and the official rank is that here UK occupy here the 3rd place and Russia the 4th. If the official ranking Russia was placed 3rd. Why the official data didn’t want to give the 3rd place to their own country is a matter of conscience (maybe they did not deserved). We will see that later on, when the Olympics are finito.

If you compare the tables of the first 5 champions, in the official published by NBC http://www.nbcolympics.com/medals/index.html and this one published by google today August 11 (google saying that their data is based in official data given during the competition) we will notice these differences:

a. In NBC data the US appear with one more bronze (29 instead of 28 in google)
b. In the NBC data Russia appear with 19 gold and 23 silver, here with 18 gold & 22 silver

What official data given by NBC should we trust, the one given during the competition or the one published today in the morning of August 11.

You will also notice that in the official NBC data Russia appears with a total of 70 medals and UK with a Total of 59 medals. Here Russia has 68 medals and UK 59 (the main difference is in the golds, 26 for UK & 18 for RU) that gives the leading position to UK, ALTHOUGH both have similar QP=126.
