The U.S. said any conflict between Russia and Ukraine would hurt China’s international interests. NATO’s chief rejected a demand by RU Prest Putin and Chinese Presidt Xi Jinping that NATO alliance halt any expansion eastward.
Putin, while in Beijing for the opening of the Winter Olympics, met Xi on Friday to exchange views and pledge a bilateral friendship with “no forbidden zones.” [?]
Moscow has repeatedly denied that it plans to attack Ukraine, while the U.K. and U.S. say Russia has massed almost 130,000 troops close to the border. Russia has decried (rechaza) the use of NATO forces near its borders.

U.S. ARMY TASK FORCE SETS UP IN GERMANY (6:26 p.m.)
About 300 newly deployed U.S. service members arrived in Germany and set up a joint task force within 24 hours of getting the call, according to an Army statement on Saturday. The forces from the 18th Airborne Corps out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, were sent to Wiesbaden, near Frankfurt.
Army Major General Christopher Donahue, the commander of the 82nd Airborne Division, has arrived in Poland, where the Pentagon has said it’s deploying components of an infantry brigade combat team.
The corps’ presence “serves to bolster existing U.S. forces in Europe and demonstrates our commitment to our NATO allies and partners,” Captain Matt Visser, the unit’s spokesman, said in the statement.
FRANCE’S MACRON SPEAKS WITH JOHNSON, STOLTENBERG (1:32 p.m.)
French President Emmanuel Macron continued his busy round of diplomacy on Saturday, holding calls with U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson and NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg.
The discussions were focused mostly on NATO unity and finding a diplomatic solution to what Johnson’s government in a readout called “Russian aggression.”

European Council President Charles Michel said on Twitter that he “touched base” with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Saturday to review the latest developments.
Zelenskiy said on the current situation around Ukraine: “its de-escalation within all existing format,” adding that “we’re making diplomatic efforts to restore peace.”
STRATEGISTS SAY MARKETS UNDERPRICING CONFLICT RISK (7:30 a.m.)
Recent risk assessments by investors focused on central bank policy have eclipsed factors such as the potential for military conflict on Europe’s eastern fringe, according to UBS strategists led by Bhanu Baweja. “LITTLE OR NO RUSSIA-UKRAINE RISK APPEARS TO BE PRICED IN,” they said in a note earlier this week.
Investors should “be ready to reduce risk IF the situation materially deteriorate,” said strategists at Amundi SA, Europe’s biggest asset manager. They warned that a Russian invasion -- which the Kremlin has denied it’s planning -- COULD PLUNGE EUROPE INTO STAGFLATION.
German and Eastern European companies, Russia-focused banks and companies with significant sales in the country look exposed, Amundi said.
WHITE HOUSE OFFICIAL CALLS FOR ‘UNITED FRONT’ (1:00 a.m.)
A “UNITED FRONT” by NATO is the best way to steady the situation around Ukraine, said Ron Klain, President Joe Biden’s chief of staff.
“I think a united front of the freedom loving countries of NATO, a united front of the NATO alliance, is the best thing we can do to try to prevent President Putin from making this horrific tactic-mistake,” Klain said Friday night on MSNBC.
Klain said the U.S. has “sent a very strong message publicly and privately” to Putin to not send combat forces across Ukraine’s border. [ The tanks are at the border now, waiting for planes to bomb key military post of NATO allies.
They will avoid civilian casualties and when this job is done, the RU tanks will get inside. When US-UK attack, then we will have a real WW3 with UK as fist target. The London Bank will be destroyed & 3 military nuclear base pulverized.
The US of course will send the best of its military nuclear power while China nuke-submarines will bomb 9 states in the US (12 now) starting with the bombing of a vulcano ready to explode in the south west of US.
At the end of this horrific episode there will not be winner: only genocides o common people plus new pandemic derived from global nuke-infestation.
Is common people ready for WW3. Of course NO, only the billonaires will get access to the ‘bunkers’ already build for them.
SUMMING UP:
La barbarie WW3 acecha en Ukraine y de como se resuelve esta crisis dependen las perspectivas del progreso económico político y del socialismo en el mundo.
En anterior articulo defini el socialismo en términos económicos como control de los medios producción por los productores directos (obreros y capas medias del pequeño empresariado) en favor del ‘public need’ (best educación, salud y vivienda para todos) y limites severos al ‘private greed’ por ser causantes de la explosiva desigualdad que hoy sufrimos.
En términos políticos lo definimos como Gobierno democrático sin la conocida interferencia de millonarios que compran partidos y votos (fraude electoral) y como control del Estado por los trabajadores y para los trabajadores (SOES le llaman los chinos).
En el socialismo el respeto a derechos humanos (especialmente a los derechos de la mujer en lucha) están garantizados. Este sistema nació en el Perú durante el incanato. Fueron T Moro y T Campanela lo difundieron en Italia y Europa desde el siglo XV, 3 siglos antes de que naciera el comunismo de Marx en 1848 (El Manifesto). No hay que confundir por tanto socialismo con comunismo.
Que es lo que está en peligro en el conflicto Ukraine vs RU. El problema central es el control de un medio producción clave pare el progreso d Europa: el PETRÓLEO. RU depende de su venta a China y Europa y las nuevas tuberías de su proyecto 2 atraviezan la zona controlada por NATO en la región. Si estos ganan la guerra van a tratar de controlar ese petróleo, (es lo que busca el UK: controlar el petroleo de Ukraine para luego controlar Europa, por esto ha enviado tantas armas y mercenarios Ukraine) y si les va mal en la guerra buscaran destruir los tuberias de los RU.
Por esto RU busca un acuerdo que garantice respeto a su petróleo. Firmaron ya uno y NATO no lo respeta: A RU no le queda otra que liquidar a los jefes de NATO. La aviación RU se encargará de ello.
El otro problema que esta en juego en Ukraine es el futuro del imperio americano. Regresare sobre imperio con un art que muy pronto lo envío. Allí trabaje las tesis de Ray Dalio, las de Atilio Boron y las de James Petras. Por lo pronto indico que apenas empiece el WW3 los pueblos del sur latino van a agitar el ZERO DEBT y tan pronto ocurra la represión a ellos, van a incendiar embajadas americanas y empresas del US. Lo han dicha ya 3 organizaciones revolucionarias del sur.
