NATO using EU in BATTLE FOR OIL AGAINST RUSSIA
Hugo
Adan. June 28, 2014
Brief
introduction:
What if Russia accepts the invitation to join the EU? Why
not? It would be a way to dissolve NATO
and avoid their nuclear confrontation blackmail. The rest will be easy: new
IMF, new WB, new UN, new international currency, new ICC, new rules for market economy
and politics, and new way of thinking peace and solving world problems. Why not?

Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova, three former Soviet republics signed the EU Association
Agreement FTA on Friday June 27, 2014. They were part of the Commonwealth of Independent States, or CIS, since 1991. Georgia and Moldova became full
members of the organization while Ukraine remained an Associate member.

UKRAINE OIL UNPAID TO RUSSIA even when they got money from World Bank. Gas cut
is in process. Kiev cut the water to
Crimea and Russia responded with the gas cut. Crimea made a referendum for self-determination
because of the violent assault by neo-nazis to an elected government and because
the decree to ban Russian as 2nd language. NATO interpreted Crimea referendum as
annexation, but said nothing about the assault on democracy in Ukraine. Russia-Ukraine
Gas Conflict

In June 16 Russia turned off gas to Ukraine. After three rounds of intense
talks in recent weeks the two sides failed to come to an agreement on the price
of gas already delivered and, therefore, on Ukraine's total debt to Russia.
They also failed to agree on the terms governing Ukraine's future gas purchases
under the new prepayment system. http://www.themoscowtimes.com/business/article/russia-turns-off-ukraine-gas-supplies-as-talks-collapse/501960.html

EU responded threatening with more sanctions if continue supporting south
rebels said the Moscow Times: http://www.themoscowtimes.com/ The problem now is whose business are really
affected with NATO-EU sanctions?. Philippe Pegorier , appointed chairman
of the Association of European Business, or AEB board responded clearly:
"The European
Union's exports to Russia are approximately $132 billion, while exports
to Ukraine are $26 billion. So you can see where our interests are,"
Pegorier said. The EU is Russia's single largest trade partner, with 50
percent of total Russian trade, while Russia is the EU's
third-largest trade partner, with 10 percent of EU trade, according
to the European Commission” http://www.themoscowtimes.com/business/article/ukrainian-black-hole-weighs-heavy-on-european-business/502100.html
This is why the sanctions failed. It is
clear that big companies –even in Germany- sabotaged the US-NATO sanctions. John
Stech, president of Volvo Cars Russia, said “Volvo has no factories
in Russia, but claims to have about 80,000 customers and intends
to add 10 additional dealerships this year”.
"Our analysts expect 2.2 percent growth for the
Russian economy in 2015, which would be good news for the banking
sector … but that obviously depends on a number of factors, including
the ability of the Russian government to really diversify away
from dependency on natural resources," Bongartz said. (same

Environment and energy ministers from Germany, Belgium, Denmark,
Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg and Portugal said the crisis
in Ukraine, which transits about half the gas Russia sends
to Europe, has highlighted the importance of reducing
dependence on imported oil and natural gas. http://www.themoscowtimes.com/business/article/7-eu-countries-push-for-binding-energy-savings-targets-to-combat-russia-reliance/502098.html
7- NATO worsen this situation since the beginning
of June by pressing Bulgaria to halt the ongoing construction of Russia’s South
Stream natural gas pipeline to EU ($45
billion pipeline project at risk) http://www.themoscowtimes.com/ & http://nsnbc.me/2014/06/27/ukraine-battle-south-stream/
Justifying its pressure on Bulgaria, the EU
claimed that the country, one of its poorest members, failed
to comply with EU internal market rules on the awarding
of public contracts. At the end of May, Bulgaria selected
Stroytransgaz, a Russian company hit by U.S. sanctions,
to construct the pipeline on its territory. Strontransgaz is
controlled by Gennady Timchenko, a personal friend and ally
of Putin who is subject to U.S. sanctions. Timchenko is not subject
to EU sanctions. Russia Sees Underhanded Sanctions in
Bulgaria’s Suspension of South Stream
8- Russia threat to withdraw duty-free
treatment to Ukraine as a member of the Commonwealth of Independent States, or
CIS, free trade pact. If so, Ukraine 24 percent of its exports to Russia, worth
$15 billion a year will be affected. http://www.themoscowtimes.com/
9- Russia response to NATO move by
sending Vladimir Chizhov, Russia's envoy to the
European Union. Chizhov slammed the move
against the $45 billion pipeline project, which followed a visit
by three U.S. senators to Bulgaria late last week, as "economic
sanctions by stealth," and highlighted efforts by top European
officials to link the continuation of work on the project
with Russia's position on Ukraine.
"South Stream is
directly related to Ukraine, because once it is completed, Ukraine will
loose its status as monopoly transit country [for the Russian gas going
to European consumers]," Chizhov said, Itar-Tass reported. http://www.themoscowtimes.com/business/article/russia-sees-underhanded-sanctions-in-bulgarias-suspension-of-south-stream/501793.html

TONY CARTALUCCI INTERPRET THE ONGOING CONFLICT AS NATO and EU’s open intent to
“integrate” all of Europe including Russia into their geopolitical order,
clearly by force if necessary. See UKRAINE
AND THE BATTLE FOR SOUTH STREAM http://nsnbc.me/2014/06/27/ukraine-battle-south-stream/
“The ongoing conflict in Ukraine, admittedly an
attempt to expand both NATO and the European Union (EU), has escalated in
terms of dominating Europe’s energy markets. Attempts to halt the ongoing
construction of Russia’s South Stream natural gas pipeline appears to be a
direct attempt to further penalize Russia for its role in defending Ukrainians
currently under siege by aircraft, artillery, heavy armor and irregular troops.” The Battle for
South Stream
