Bits on PHILOSOPHY of FOOTBALL & QATAR AS HOST OF NEXT WORLD CUP

Bits on PHILOSOPHY of  FOOTBALL & QATAR AS HOST OF NEXT WORLD CUP

This is about football as war vs. football as exercise of freedom, coordination and goal achievement.

If a system in motion exists, that is football.  One can see how inputs are wasted or converted into positive outputs in 90’.  Football as system in itself and its interconnection with other systems can be seen vividly during a world cup. All systems are captured in suspense and suddenly exploding in happiness  at the same time at worldwide level when a beautiful gool is done. Football shows how beautiful life is, how human peace is. Football  is like a laboratory with lights on that allows the entire world to see how a new born –a new start in this sport- is brought into existence.

Allison, Malcolm wrongly said :  “Professional football is no longer a game. It's a war. And it brings out the same primitive instincts that go back thousands of years."   Perhaps he referred the USA football. http://www.philosophyfootball.com/quotations.php

Professional real foot-&-ball –as it is played in a world cup- is a set of games where freedom prevail over  autocratic, narcissist  and selfish decision making.  Football  is so far the most decent, creative and fair  popular competition  worldwide. It is just the opposite to the brutality of war. If we see it with  the prism of policy-making, football is the realm of  pluralism and participatory decision making, where cooperation is the most salient  feature.

What this beautiful sport has to do with Qatar, the selected host of the next world cup?.  Nothing, absolutely nothing.  Qatar is involved in crimes against humanity in Syria, where they financed the jihadist who destroyed such State-nation. Qatar’r royalty try to wash their inhumane face with the most peaceful sport.. that is nasty, and should not be allowed.  FIFA should review this case.

The dogmatic fundamentalist theocracy on Qatar is just an insult to the principles in which football is bases on.  Football has nothing to do with the tenets of compliance and uniformity of  this fundamentalist regimen in Qatar. Football is based on freedom, diversity, shared decision making, free- initiative, creativity and friendly cooperation. Qatar is the oposite, is instead slaving people to build stadiums to host the next world cup. That is an insult to football. FIFA should reconsider such selection.
