"St Vincent is covered in Ash post volcano eruption. This is awful."
One day after a powerful eruption at La Soufriere volcano in the eastern Caribbean flung a massive column of ash more than 33,000 feet high, geologists warn, perhaps, a much larger eruption could be nearing.
La Soufriere volcano on St Vincent, located in the Caribbean Sea, between Saint Lucia and Grenada.

On Friday morning, we were one of the first to report the eruption of the volcano as St. Vincent's National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) tweeted: "Explosive eruption at La Soufriere."

Reuters reports US corn exports "have blown past nearly every benchmark" as China, the world's largest food and ag importer, appears to be ramping up purchases of US farm goods. What's mildly funny is how China has begun to purchase large amounts of farm goods from the US under the Biden administration.
Reuters' projections indicate weekly export data for March could reach an all-time high, possibly topping north of 9 million tons. The largest-ever export volume for a given month was 7.75 tons in May 2018.

Case for Decelerating Inflation
In its Quarterly Review and Outlook for the First Quarter of 2021 Lacy Hunt makes a case for decelerating inflation.
Contrary to the conventional wisdom, disinflation is more likely than accelerating inflation. Since prices deflated in the second quarter of 2020, the annual inflation rate will move transitorily higher. Once these base effects are exhausted, cyclical, structural, and monetary considerations suggest that the inflation rate will moderate lower by year end and will undershoot the Fed Reserve’s target of 2%. The inflationary psychosis that has gripped the bond market will fade away in the face of such persistent disinflation.
Six Reasons to Expect Disinflation
1. Inflation is a lagging indicator, as classified by the National Bureau of Economic
2. Productivity rebounds in recoveries and vigorously so in the aftermath of deep recessions. Research.
3. Restoration of supply chains will be disinflationary.
4. Accelerated technological advancement will lower costs.
