Además fue en China donde nació el contingency theory, lo que mas tarde el alemán von Bertalanffy rebautizo como ‘General Systems Theory”, para el un system es la unión de partes apuntando a mismo fin u objetivo. Esto ocurrió a finales de 1800. Bertalanffy le agrego nuevos conceptos al “Contigency Theory’, entre ellos el de ’synergy’ (the whole system is greater than the sum of the parts).
