[NOTICE that
here the cause-logic is not well constructed. If something happens before and
also today, it doesn’t mean that there is a pattern, and not either that both
have the same cause. The magnitude of surveillance is different,
the purpose seems to be also different, and the actors may be different as well.
The logic in this article departs from the assumption or premise that yesterday
and today actors are the same in term of interests, motives and contextual
factors. If that is true, then one administrations did it and the other used,
is it? For this logic to be accepted as true we should accept that the actor is
not one President (or his cabinet) but an institution behind him or an State apparatus
that has more power than a Presidential regime has. Only then 9/11 will fit in
this construct, a one that implies that such terrorism was an inside job. If the
previous actor planned and did it, and today’s actor agreed and continue
implementing its planned objectives, then they are similars. Is this the case?.. Prove it first.]

As the former head of the NSA’s global
digital intelligence gathering program – William Binney – said:
“[NSA] management had made the plan
to spy on the United States and the people of the United States even before
9/11.
Then – when 9/11 occurred – that was
the pure excuse for them to go in and say now, telecoms, we really need the
data now to be able to protect the United States from terrorism.
And that was simply false to begin
with. We had no problem at all identifying these people from the beginning.
That was absolutely false. But that was the pretext they used to get that
process running.”
