When will people stop selling gold and silver and realize that rising inflation is not a one-time threat that the Fed will stomp out by raising rates and tightening monetary policy? Peter Schiff explains:
"They [The Fed] are going to do nothing. The dollar is going to collapse, which is the mother of all tailwinds for gold. And so, at some point, it’s going to happen. But in the meantime, they’re simply creating more buying opportunities for people who have been really slow to pull the trigger on getting their precious metals, getting their mining stocks.”
In effect, Powell this week was telling the market, “Don’t worry, we won’t be tightening monetary policy for years.” This despite the fact that the commodity markets are screaming inflation. Oil, industrial metals, grains, beans – they are all making big gains. The only thing that’s not catching a bid is gold.

BIDEN ORDENÓ SU PRIMERA OPERACIÓN MILITAR COMO PRESIDENTE
Según el secretario de Defensa, el general Lloyd Austin, se trató de bombardear una instalación supuestamente utilizada por milicias chiitas sirias en la frontera entre Siria e Irak.
Para justificar esta acción militar, que constituye una evidente violación de la Carta de las Naciones Unidas, el Pentágono afirmó que las milicias atacadas –Kaitib Hezbollah y Kaitib Sayyid al-Shuhada– estaban implicadas en los atentados realizados del 15 al 22 de febrero en Irak contra personal militar estadounidense y contra personal vinculado a empresas de Estados Unidos.
La operación, que dejó al menos 17 muertos, tuvo lugar después de una comunicación entre el ministro iraní de Exteriores, Mohammad Javad Zarif, y su homólogo sirio Faysal Mikdad.
Esta acción militar estadounidense parece estar vinculada a las conversaciones de la administración Biden con Irán sobre ya que las milicias atacadas constituyen una especie de contacto entre los teatros de operaciones sirio e iraquí.
Al parecer, la administración Biden estaría dispuesta a aceptar que Irán se convierta en gendarme regional pero rechaza permitir la constitución de un nuevo imperio persa, que abarcaría Líbano, Siria, Irak y Azerbaiyán, conforme a un proyecto iraní [1]. El objetivo de la administración Biden sería volver a una situación en la cual Irán haría de gendarme regional, como en tiempos del shah Mohamed Reza Pahlevi.
Según el almirante John Kirby, vocero del Pentágono, antes de la realización de esta operación. el Departamento de Estado informó a sus interlocutores –probablemente los Estados que el presidente iraní Hassan Rohani pretende incluir en su proyecto de nuevo imperio persa y la Federación Rusa.
Sin embargo, la Casa Blanca, el Consejo de Seguridad Nacional, el Departamento de Estado o el Departamento de Defensa, no han aclarado si Estados Unidos simplemente informó de antemano a Rusia o si adoptó medidas para evitar que militares rusos corrieran peligro durante la operación.
